Chronos Key
The Chronos Key is one of Zarveth's six Infinity Relics and the instrument through which he bends time, phases between seconds, and attacks from multiple temporal positions.
History
Zarveth's final temporal assault
After Nux destroys two of Zarveth's strongest relics, the Chronos Key powers the first attack of the remaining set. It bends space and divides time as Zarveth closes on Nux, then lets his later counterattack strike from the present and past at once. With the Mirror and Lantern gone, Zarveth activates the Key beside the Crest of Eternity for a final barrage of time loops, alternate-timeline clones, and collapsing reality. The attack cannot affect Nux inside his own universe. Nux crushes the Key in his hand, violently severing Zarveth's connections to other timelines and inflicting an immediate bodily toll. (Chapters 2110–2111)
Abilities and properties
- The Key lets Zarveth bend time around his movement, phase between seconds, and make attacks arrive from present and past positions. (Chapters 2110–2111)
- Alongside the Crest, it supports time loops and alternate-timeline manifestations during Zarveth's final attack. The corpus does not separate the precise contribution of each relic to every part of that combined barrage. (Chapter 2111)
- Destroying the Key forcibly collapses Zarveth's connections to other timelines and causes severe pain and disorientation. (Chapter 2111)
