Soren
Soren Thorn is the Complete Saint leader of the Ashenhelm Clan, one of the powerful new clans that arose in Yrniel. Seeking to take Nux's wives and destroy ExceedoGenesis, he offers Arcturus a public challenge that can serve as cover for the Dragon Lord's own attempt to isolate and humiliate Nux.
Biography
Turning a challenge into a public trap
Soren approaches Arcturus with a plan built around a twelve-versus-twelve battle that excludes Saints and stronger cultivators. He knows ExceedoGenesis has no reason to accept an ordinary clan challenge, so he intends to publish the terms, provoke Nux through his wives, and make refusal look cowardly. Arcturus demands every detail because the spectacle can also advance his campaign against Nux. (Chapters 1180–1181)
Soren's statement reaches the Leander family and deliberately frames Nux as too frightened to defend his marriage. Nux accepts, but the event is reshaped around Arcturus's arrival with fifty Divine Stage Dragons. Soren and a cooperative announcer call for Nux while the military encirclement makes clear that the intended outcome is humiliation, not a fair clan battle. (Chapters 1182–1185)
The apparent Nux who answers from the ExceedoGenesis box is an illusionary performance rather than the real man. The clone turns the spectacle back on Soren before disappearing, leaving him anguished and vengeful. Arcturus recognizes the deception and identifies the performer as the Devil, but neither ally gains the submission or public victory the trap was meant to produce. Soren's later fate is not recorded. (Chapters 1186–1189)
Appearance and personality
The supplied corpus does not give Soren a detailed physical portrait. His conduct presents him as calculating, status-conscious, and vindictive. He is willing to weaponize public opinion and target Nux through his wives, yet he becomes emotionally consumed when the same stage is used to ridicule him. (Chapters 1180–1187)
Abilities and cultivation
Soren is a Complete Saint cultivator and leads one of the strongest clans created during the preceding century and a half. The planned challenge excludes Saints, so he does not personally demonstrate combat. No Law, Domain, bloodline, technique, equipment, activation cost, or measurable limitation is attributed to him in the supplied corpus. (Chapters 1180–1182)
Relationships
- Arcturus: Soren gives the Dragon Lord a public mechanism for cornering Nux. Their cooperation is instrumental, and Arcturus remains the vastly stronger party directing the final display. (Chapters 1180–1187)
- Nux: Soren hopes to strip Nux of his family and reputation, but an illusionary stand-in reverses the humiliation and leaves Soren swearing revenge. (Chapters 1181–1188)
- ExceedoGenesis: Soren's challenge targets the clan as a whole, using rules below his own stage while presenting the resulting pressure as a legitimate contest. (Chapters 1181–1185)
