Nixgut

Nixgut is a silver Goblin mercenary hired with Zharak to support a plot against Nux's wives. His caution identifies the summons as a trap before he enters it, but fear of the employer forces him forward. Once captured, he chooses submission over certain death and brings the Law of Absolute Confinement into Nux's growing collection of Transcendent subordinates.

Biography

A trap he could not refuse

Nixgut distrusts a call from the missing Marlik because it comes from an unreported dimension after weeks of silence. He correctly infers that an enemy may have captured their fellow mercenary and be using his artifact to summon accomplices. Zharak nevertheless points out that ignoring the mission would provoke the powerful employer, and a direct warning through another artifact confirms that abandonment may itself mean death. Nixgut goes while fully aware that the situation is bad. (Chapter 1957)

Marlik offers survival in exchange for serving his new lord. Nixgut asks questions and distracts him so Zharak can attack, but Nux's spatial control defeats both the assault and Nixgut's anti-teleport artifact. Watching the stronger Zharak thrown helplessly through space convinces Nixgut that resistance has no workable path. He bargains to reveal the employer and finally submits. (Chapters 1958–1959)

Under threat, Nixgut deploys his Domain and captures Zharak. Nux praises his tendency to think before acting, offers shelter in the world he governs, and asks for allegiance. Nixgut mistakes the inner universe for proof that Nux is an Infinity and submits willingly in expectation of joining a Supreme World. Nux then devours both mercenaries, reads their memories, takes their storage necklaces and call artifact, and leaves them in his universe to be handled later. Appearance and personality

Nixgut is a one-meter-tall Goblin with a hunched silver body and purple eyes. His compact body is physically weaker than Zharak's, a vulnerability he compensates for with protection against spatial ambush. (Chapters 1957–1958)

He is cautious, calculating, and pragmatic. He detects danger quickly, coordinates a feint with his partner, negotiates when force fails, and changes allegiance when he believes survival and advancement both favor submission. (Chapters 1957–1960)

Abilities and cultivation

Nixgut is a Transcendent whose Law of Confinement becomes the Law of Absolute Confinement inside his Domain. The Domain turns the sky into a black-and-gold chained void and the ground into an obsidian maze. It seals Space and dimensional phasing, muffles sound, collapses meaningful distance, and produces tightening runes and chains that drain and bind a declared target. He demonstrates it by immobilizing Zharak. (Chapter 1959)

The Domain requires Nixgut to deploy it and identify a target. Within Nux's universe, Nux can remove his right to form it, showing that its authority does not override the universe's sovereign. No ordinary range, duration, energy cost, or counter outside that environment is supplied. (Chapters 1959–1960)

Nixgut also carries an artifact that constantly flickers nearby Space to prevent teleportation beside his physically vulnerable body. Nux's superior spatial authority bypasses it. (Chapter 1958)

Relationships

• Nux: Nixgut is hired against Nux, mistakes him for an Infinity, and submits before being devoured into his universe. Nux values his cautious mind but leaves his final treatment unresolved. (Chapters 1958–1961)
• Zharak: Nixgut's regular mercenary partner. They coordinate without speaking, but Nixgut captures him when submission becomes the only apparent route to survival. (Chapters 1957–1959)
• Marlik: Marlik is the captured mercenary whose summons draws Nixgut into the trap. His loyalty and spatial helplessness serve as Nux's demonstration of power. (Chapters 1957–1960)
