Lucious Celestria is the Human Hero among the Seven Heroes. A confident close-range swordsman, he joins the coordinated challenge against Nux, is defeated with the other Great Sage Heroes, and is later reported to have earned an Emperor-level bloodline from the Human Trial Tower.

Biography

Confidence among the Seven Heroes

Lucious first appears after Elijah loses to Nux. When Elijah predicts that none of the Great Sage Heroes can defeat Nux, Lucious joins Norana in dismissing him as weak. The exchange establishes Lucious's confidence relative to another Hero, but no bout between them follows, so the claim that Lucious is stronger remains untested. (Chapter 986)

When Nux publicly challenges the Seven Heroes as “the Devil,” Lucious accepts along with the rest. The Heroes' participation is ordered by Vyriana, and Lucious chooses to respect both her selection of the opponent and Nux's group-battle format. He argues that six Heroes are more than necessary and warns Nux not to complain afterward, entering the match expecting their shared status and training to decide it. (Chapters 1031 and 1033)

Defeat by the Devil

Lucious repeatedly attacks Nux with an unnamed sword, interrupting openings and coordinating most closely with Elijah. His first strike prevents Nux from immediately exploiting Elijah's mist form. Later he attacks while Nux is distracted by Vulpiana, but Nux blocks, kicks him away, and batters his head and face badly enough to blur his vision. A later comparison of Human Trial Tower performances reports that Lucious cleared the twenty-third wave and “barely” obtained an Emperor-level bloodline. This gives him a distinguished result far beyond most of the five hundred notable Human candidates discussed in the same scene, though below the levels reached by Nux's wives.
