Leo

Leo is Lovis's butler, confidant, and keeper of politically sensitive material. He fights to protect his master during Raguel's assassination attempt and chooses death rather than accept Nux's offer of enslavement. A different servant named Leo appears in Feline Cat City from Chapter 925 onward; that later man serves Felix and is not Lovis's deceased butler.

Biography

Keeper of Lovis's private affairs

Leo first appears managing Lovis's room and serving tea during Evane's reunion with her brother. He obeys without drawing attention and is trusted with the written promise Lovis signs during Evane's political test. When Thyra steals one copy from the room, Leo is alarmed because he remembers exactly where he placed it and regards himself as responsible. (Chapters 418 and 425–431)

Lovis knows that only Leo had direct knowledge of the paper's location and begins to suspect him after Lucas produces it. Leo does not betray Lovis, but the theft places him under a suspicion he cannot disprove. The incident demonstrates the cost of his trusted role: secrets stored under his care make him the natural scapegoat when a hidden opponent bypasses ordinary security. (Chapters 428–431)

Loyalty through the assassination and final choice

When Raguel's assassins attack Lovis and Evane, Leo fights an Expert-stage opponent while Lovis faces another group. He gradually gains the advantage but cannot finish before Nux reveals his King Stage power and kills Leo's opponent. Nux then offers Leo a choice between remaining loyal and dying or accepting a Slave Seal. Leo hesitates, charges with a dagger, and is beheaded. (Chapters 434 and 439–443)

Evane later gives the Royal Hall a fabricated account in which Leo betrayed Lovis and caused his death. The lie supports the larger case against Raguel and conceals both Lovis's attempted murder of Evane and Nux's role. It is not a correction to Leo's actual conduct: the on-page sequence shows him defending Lovis and choosing death rather than abandonment. (Chapters 443 and 449)

Appearance and personality

The corpus supplies no stable description of Leo's face, hair, eyes, or usual clothing beyond his role as a royal butler. He is formal and unobtrusive in service, appearing immediately when Lovis calls. (Chapters 418 and 425)

Leo considers himself careful and responsible, reacts strongly when a confidential paper vanishes, and remains loyal even after his master is paralyzed and his own survival is offered. His final charge is an informed refusal of enslavement, though the text does not state whether it is driven by affection, duty, fear of the seal, or all three. (Chapters 431 and 443)

Abilities and cultivation

Leo is an Expert Stage cultivator. During the assassination he fights another Expert and holds the advantage over time, establishing competence against a peer, but the corpus does not name his affinity, cultivation method, technique, or activation mechanics. He cannot threaten Nux after the latter releases his King Stage cultivation. (Chapters 439–443)

He uses a dagger for his final rush. No special property, mana effect, poison, or named art is attributed to the weapon. The attack is a direct charge against a much stronger opponent and is countered by immediate beheading. Leo dies without demonstrated cultivation progression or a later variant of his combat style. His access to Lovis's rooms and secrets derives from his position as butler, not a stealth or information ability. Thyra's theft bypasses him, and he provides no demonstrated way to track the missing paper or identify its taker. (Chapters 425–431)

Relationships

• Lovis: Leo serves Lovis personally, safeguards his documents, and fights during the assassination attempt. He refuses to abandon Lovis even when Nux makes survival conditional on doing so. (Chapters 418–443)
• Nux: Nux removes Leo from Evane's conversation, later kills the assassin fighting him, and offers him coerced survival as a slave. Leo rejects the offer by attacking and dies. (Chapters 425–426 and 443)
• Evane: Leo serves Evane as his master's guest and later fights on the same side during the ambush. Her subsequent claim that he betrayed Lovis is a political fabrication, not their demonstrated history. (Chapters 418, 434–443, and 449)
• Thyra: Thyra steals Lovis's signed paper from Leo's care, indirectly placing him under suspicion. Leo never learns on-page that she is responsible. (Chapters 425–431)
