Faustina

Faustina Origin is one of Yrniel's first humans, a co-leader of the Ancestral Order, and the Progenitor known as the Mother of all Humans. Initially a detached guardian whose generation has outlived its own descendants, she chooses Nux Leander as her son, risks ancient secrets to protect his future, and eventually leaves Yrniel's borrowed cultivation path for a rebuilt foundation of her own.

Biography

The Human Progenitor meets a future General

Faustina first appears beside her husband Caesar Origin after Nux exceeds the designed limit of the Human Trial. Before speaking with him directly, she and Caesar interrupt a confrontation involving more than a hundred Divines. Faustina treats most of the rulers with visible disinterest and drops Arcturus and fifty Dragons to the ground by narrowing her eyes, demonstrating the gulf between a Yrniel ruler and a Progenitor. Her interest is reserved for the trial-taker whom the pair believe may become a future Human General. (Chapters 1211–1215)

Caesar gives Nux his one available grant of Progenitor Blood as the only reward commensurate with reaching the fortieth wave. Faustina explains that a Progenitor shares irreplaceable Blood Essence and can make that choice only once, because the recipient gains the potential to approach the donor. When Nux's existing secrets cause his body to reject and then adapt the blood in an unprecedented way, she reassures Vyriana that Human Progenitor blood's defining adaptability should keep him alive, while acknowledging that this is the first time the process has been attempted. Her confidence is informed but not omniscient: neither she nor Caesar controls the blood after transfer, and Nux's body produces results they did not predict. (Chapters 1215–1220)

The Progenitors offer to take Nux as a disciple, but he chooses to remain in Yrniel and settle his own affairs. Faustina does not compel him. She permits the delay, accepts that Vyriana can guide him, and begins calling him her son after he chooses “Mother” as his title for her. What begins partly as curiosity develops into a deliberate attempt to form a mortal-style family bond that her million-year existence has lacked. She refuses Lilith's suggestion that motherhood is merely another route to possession and tells her that Nux will make his own decisions without supernatural coercion. (Chapters 1258–1266)

Motherhood, Laws, and a dangerous confidence

Faustina supports Nux's family with both rewards and instruction. She creates a bracelet able to cancel the weak Law of Self of an incomplete Divine so Nux and Arcturus can duel on more equal terms, then gives the bracelet to Nux. She later promises Primordial Human blood to his Human wives if he remains true to them through Lilith's illusion, and moves the reward forward when several women demonstrate exceptional Laws. Rather than remove a chosen disciple from the family, she agrees to remain near ExceedoGenesis and help with training. Her generosity is therefore tied to potential and to her growing maternal bond, not an unlimited ability to manufacture Progenitors. (Chapters 1254, 1258–1259, 1293–1295, and 1342–1344)

When Nux cannot raise any technique from Perfection to Assimilation, Faustina joins Vyriana in testing the anomaly at Solitude's End. She does not pretend to know the answer: she watches him cast the same spell for years, eliminates ordinary explanations, recognizes that the spell improves without following the normal mastery framework, and helps explore alternate routes. The failure matters because a cultivator ordinarily needs Assimilation to understand a Path and form a Law. Faustina ultimately tells Nux to stop relentless training for two years, repair his deteriorating mental state with his wives, and enter Lilith's illusion prepared rather than exhausted. Her most consequential choice is to reveal why the Progenitors themselves have no Laws. Yrniel blessed them to bypass the Universe's normal wall, producing enormously strong but incomplete cultivators whose continued existence is tied to their world. Because stronger worlds would target Yrniel if that exception became known, Faustina asks Nux to keep it secret and devises a plan for him to obtain the same blessing within Lilith's unverifiable illusion. The plan could make the other Progenitors see him as a mortal threat and would put Faustina in danger if exposed. She accepts that risk because she now regards him as her son. Nux responds by revealing the System rather than use a path that would endanger her, closing the last distance in a relationship that began as expedient curiosity. (Chapters 1395–1398)

Faustina also teaches beyond combat. Later evidence credits her instruction with the millions of runes Felberta learned while pursuing the Power and Law of Genesis, enough for Felberta to identify advanced runic functions even when she cannot reproduce a complete artifact. The corpus establishes Faustina as Felberta's teacher in that study, but does not show Faustina possessing the Law of Genesis herself; it is inherited by Felberta from Aurelia. Guardian of Yrniel and the limits of borrowed power

When Aeliana is absent for centuries, Faustina volunteers to administer the Ancestral Order despite her preference for sleep and complains that the other Progenitors avoided the work. She still does it because someone must keep the institution functioning. Her guardianship remains conservative: she limits common knowledge of outer space because earlier disclosure brought despair and destruction, uses the Black Order as controlled pressure on Yrniel's defenders, and considers the Order's purpose protection rather than conquest. Nux's growth exposes how limited that protection is. Faustina and the other Progenitors are effectively pseudo-Transcendents: they used Yrniel's connection to rise and extend their lives without Laws, but cannot continue developing along the ordinary cultivation bridge. Nux understands that Faustina wants a real foundation even when she suppresses that desire, yet severing her would directly threaten Yrniel. He therefore postpones helping her until Azriel becomes the Universe's chosen protector and can prevent an automatic retaliation against their world. (Chapters 1395–1397, 1616–1618, and 1820)

Severance, reconstruction, and the larger war

After Azriel returns as the Universe's Child, he orders Nux to sever the Progenitors along with the remaining Leanders. Faustina accepts that Yrniel must raise a third shield and disappear for twenty thousand years, despite objecting to the cost, because hiding the world is the only available way to protect it while Azriel rebuilds his strength. Nux then breaks the Progenitors' connections, gives them new foundations, raises them to Primordial so they survive, and strengthens their newly formed Laws into Absolutes. For Faustina, becoming weaker in immediate output is outweighed by finally having the potential to grow. (Chapters 1939–1946)

The reconstruction is not a clean shortcut. Faustina's new Law contains her life's experience, but her conscious understanding of it is only around an early Sovereign's level because she was pushed directly to Primordial. Nux warns that the skipped refinement has already caused some permanent loss of potential and that advancing to Transcendent before stabilizing would produce a weaker Domain. Faustina accepts the limitation and begins training; the corpus never names her Law, demonstrates its individual effect, or records a later conventional breakthrough, so her latest established stage remains Primordial rather than assumed Transcendent. Faustina's later contribution is often observational and connective rather than a direct attack. She answers Nux's calls, relays requests to Azriel, and watches the Main Universe's response when Nux tests a Domain that removes fifteen Eternals from normal causality. She accurately reports that Gracevale remains intact while the wider Universe reacts to the disappearances, helping distinguish the Domain's local effect from what the Universe believes happened. When the Seer's temporal power leaves even the Progenitors unaware that a conversation occurred, Faustina is openly shocked rather than claiming knowledge she does not possess. Grandmother and trusted resident

By the family years, Faustina and the other Progenitors have moved into Nux's universe permanently. Faustina spends more time with the Leander children than any of her peers, goes without rest for a year so that she can remain with one child or another, and becomes their favored grandmother, arriving with candies and immediate affection. The role completes the experiment she began when she called Nux her son: it has become a sustained family life rather than a title used around a promising disciple. (Chapter 2319)

That trust is tested when the Infinities begin intercepting Nux's hunting parties and Rune raises the possibility of a traitor among the Progenitors. Faustina neither lashes out nor relies on Nux's faith in her. She immediately offers her memories because the suspicious events began after the Progenitors moved in and she wants to prove his trust was justified. Nux says he never doubted her, while Amaya explains that memory inspection cannot exclude manipulation by beings with superior knowledge. Faustina's offer does not solve the mystery, but it establishes her latest stance: alive, embedded in the Leander family, and willing to subject herself to scrutiny to protect it. (Chapter 2321)

Appearance and personality

Faustina is described as an extraordinarily beautiful Human woman with long black hair and blue eyes compared to a sky. Her features are otherworldly enough to arrest the attention of Divine cultivators, yet she normally emits no detectable aura and can appear like an ordinary person even while walking unharmed through the combined pressure of more than a hundred Divines. Her calm, graceful presence therefore conceals rather than advertises the scale of her strength. (Chapters 1211 and 1214–1215)

At first she is detached, curious, and casually disdainful toward people too weak to concern her. Around Vyriana and the other Progenitors she is playful, sharp-tongued, and fond of teasing; left to herself, she prefers long periods of sleep to administration. That laziness is selective rather than incapacity. Faustina takes over Aeliana's work when duty requires it, spends centuries investigating Nux's cultivation problem, and later devotes a year without rest to his children. Motherhood draws out her most consequential qualities. Faustina is protective without claiming the right to choose Nux's life, willing to challenge Lilith or risk the Progenitors for him, and honest when she does not understand an anomaly. She also carries the long perspective and compromises of a guardian: she can withhold dangerous knowledge, accept a controlled enemy as training pressure, and support hiding Yrniel at enormous personal cost. Her immediate offer of memories under suspicion shows that affection has not erased her pragmatism or accountability. (Chapters 1259, 1266, 1293, 1395–1398, and 2321)

Abilities and cultivation

Faustina has two distinct power states. Before Chapter 1946 she is a Human Progenitor who reached pseudo-Transcendent power through Yrniel's blessing without forming a Law. After Nux severs that bond, she is reconstructed as a Primordial with a newly formed, externally strengthened Absolute Law. Treating all her early feats as applications of the later Law would therefore be incorrect. (Chapters 1395–1397, 1820, and 1946)

Progenitor body, pressure, and perception

In her original state, Faustina can suppress Arcturus and fifty Divine Dragons at once with pressure released when she narrows her eyes. She also travels at a speed that leaves Nux, his wives, and even Vyriana disoriented despite claiming to hold back. These feats demonstrate overwhelming force and movement, but the corpus gives no named martial technique, exact energy cost, maximum range, or complete comparison with the other Progenitors. Azriel remains a power she explicitly cannot defeat. (Chapters 1211, 1397–1399, and 1401)

Her senses penetrate concealment that defeats ordinary elites. Faustina detects Nux while he hides from Arcturus, states that nothing within Yrniel—including half-dimensions—can be hidden from a Progenitor who chooses to look, and uses her gaze to inspect whether Nux is acting under Lilith's influence. These are demonstrated or strongly asserted Progenitor perceptions; the exact mechanism is not named, and the soul-reading implication should not be confused with a proven ability to recover or rewrite any memory at will. Human blood and creation craft

As a Human Progenitor, Faustina possesses blood whose defining trait is heightened adaptability. Progenitor Blood can grant a recipient the potential to approach the donor, but sharing it consumes irreplaceable Blood Essence and can be done only once by each Progenitor. Caesar, not Faustina, is the one who gives Nux the initial drop. Faustina later offers her own blood as part of a reward for Nux's Human wives, but the sources used here do not establish every recipient or a unique combat ability transmitted specifically from Faustina. Faustina is also an accomplished creator and runic instructor. When Caesar asks for a way to neutralize an incomplete Divine's Law of Self, she summons unfamiliar materials, arranges magic circles, and makes a functional bracelet in roughly a minute. The bracelet works only on weak Laws formed by incomplete cultivators; Faustina says she cannot make one that cancels Vyriana's Law and suggests Dwarven specialists might solve problems beyond her. The limit keeps the demonstrated artifact from implying unrestricted creation. Her role in creating the Trial Towers is collective with the Progenitors, not established as a solo feat. Knowledge, instruction, and guardianship

Faustina understands the ordinary relationship among technique mastery, Assimilation, Paths, Laws, bloodlines, world connections, and cultivation bridges. She applies that knowledge diagnostically: observing Nux's anomalous spell growth, recognizing when standard explanations fail, warning Felberta that Progenitor blood differs from ordinary blood, and teaching enough runic structure for Felberta to identify a Rune of Endless Memory. Her instruction does not make every explanation infallible. Nux, the Seer, the System, and the Main Universe repeatedly produce phenomena beyond what she knows, and she openly revises her view when evidence contradicts it. Through her original bond to Yrniel, Faustina can observe hidden places within the world, help administer its Ancestral Order, and recognize Yrniel's energy. That connection also supplies the borrowed path which let her generation bypass Laws, extend life beyond a normal Transcendent span, and maintain pseudo-Transcendent power. It is a source and a limitation: severing it removes the old strength and risks drawing the Universe against Yrniel, which is why Nux waits for Azriel's protection. Reconstructed Primordial and unnamed Absolute Law

Nux's severance gives Faustina a sturdy new foundation, a personally derived Law containing her lifetime of experience, and Primordial cultivation needed to survive after losing Yrniel's support. He then strengthens that Law into an Absolute. These changes are permanent external reconstruction; Faustina does not perform the process herself, and her immediate power is actually lower than before even though her future path is open. (Chapters 1940–1946)

The upgrade has serious limits. Faustina's understanding of the new Law begins near an early Sovereign's level, and skipping ordinary refinement destabilizes her foundation and permanently reduces some potential. She must stabilize before attempting Transcendent cultivation or risk a weak Domain. No source in the supplied packet names the Law, explains its principle or activation, or shows Faustina using a distinct Absolute technique.
