Draven Celestria is one of Yrniel's three Human Emperors and the ruler of the Celestria Empire. His appearances place him among the world's political leaders as they assess Nux, the Seven Heroes' challenge, and the consequences of opening the Human Trial Tower.

Biography

The Bloodheart wedding and the unknown groom

Draven arrives with the other Human Emperors at the gathering of Yrniel's leaders before Melia Bloodheart's wedding. When Lyriana disparages humans, he calmly counters that humans rule the mainland while elves remain in their forest, joining the familiar rivalry between their peoples. News that the groom is an unknown Human Emperor makes Draven and his peers suspicious that one of the three Human Empires may be concealing him. At the wedding, Draven attempts to recruit Nux by asking when he will settle in Celestria; Nux declines to move but leaves open the possibility of a future clan branch, which Draven publicly welcomes. Watching Nux's rise

When Nux later challenges all Seven Heroes as “the Devil,” Draven joins the world leaders in Aldara and directly asks the Demon Lords whether they have uncovered the challenger's identity. They have not, so he can only watch as the supposed Incubus appears and confounds the leaders' attempts to read his race. Draven takes no direct action in the contest, but the episode changes Nux from an intriguing prospective recruit into a public figure whose origins evade even Yrniel's rulers. (Chapters 1031–1032)
