Aurelios Leander

Aurelios Leander is Felberta's son, Lysera's twin brother, and a Primordial Eldraeth whose presence can create outcomes that should not exist. Gentle in demeanor but firm about the responsibility attached to creation, he usually keeps close to his twin within the wider Leander family.

Biography

Creating stability in Umbrasol

At nine years old, Aurelios sits quietly in an open area of Umbrasol while impossible corrections spread around him. A cracked wall becomes one that was never cracked, a falling child regains his footing, and overflowing water holds above its container. Workers and residents interpret the separate incidents as uncanny luck, while Aurelios regards normal decay and failure as instability that can be changed. His goal is openly transformative: when a resident says that failure is simply how the world works, Aurelios answers that it remains so only because nobody changes it, and says that he and Lysera will. That confidence is paired with restraint. When Lysera evolves a plant until it risks becoming unable to reproduce or coexist with its surroundings, Aurelios stops her and distinguishes sustainable evolution from altering a single existence as an experiment. He withstands her momentary hostility, explains the ecological consequence, and receives her reluctant agreement as her elder brother. The exchange leaves them arguing like close siblings rather than enemies, but establishes Aurelios as the twin willing to impose a limit when creation or evolution would outgrow its world. Aurelios and Lysera later attend a gathering of Nux's wives and children. They interact with the wider family but usually remain together outside its informal groups, and they join the other children in welcoming their father. At the family's return to Yrniel, Aurelios meets his older half-brother Royce. Although Royce is a weaker Primordial than the beings Aurelios knows, Aurelios judges that irrelevant and greets him respectfully because he is family. Appearance and personality

At his first appearance Aurelios is a nine-year-old boy with soft, short white hair carrying pale blue and silver hints. His light, almost translucent eyes share those blue and silver shades, and his beautiful features and simple light-colored clothes contribute to a quiet, refined presence. His exact age at the later reunion is not restated. (Chapter 2313)

Aurelios is calm, gentle, and difficult for strangers to resent even when his power unsettles them. Beneath that softness he is determined and willing to confront Lysera when her curiosity becomes dangerous. His insistence on reproduction and environmental adaptation shows a concern for whether a changed existence can belong in its world, not merely whether it can be made stronger. With family he is reserved rather than detached, preferring his twin's company but greeting Royce without measuring brotherhood by power. (Chapters 2313–2314, 2319, 2407)

Primordial Eldraeth of creation

Aurelios is a Primordial Eldraeth associated with creation. The narration distinguishes his gift from Felberta's ability to create objects and matter: Aurelios can create “existence,” producing states that should not logically have occurred. Demonstrated effects include preventing a child's fall, keeping water from spilling, making a wall's crack cease ever to have existed, and repeatedly causing dangerous accidents to resolve safely. These are reality- or outcome-altering effects rather than repairs, conventional matter creation, or ordinary luck. (Chapters 2313–2314)

The ability operates around him largely through presence alone; most changes occur without a stated gesture, spell, or conscious command, and continue while he argues with Lysera. Its observed area extends from the field around him into nearby Umbrasol streets, but the source gives no exact radius. Aurelios can recognize and discuss the changes, yet it is not established whether he selects every corrected event, can fully suppress the field, or can deliberately target a distant outcome. No energy cost, duration, resistance, counter, combat application, or failure is shown.
