The Shadow Queen Bee escapes from a cargo ship and becomes the centerpiece of Night River King’s attempt to murder Han Sen’s companions without exposing his own involvement. He plans to lure it toward their base with favored incense, expecting it to implant victims with eggs. The queen bee is also evolvable: if raised to King class, it can produce King-class Shadow Bees, making capture and development more valuable than simply killing it. (Chapters 2196–2216)
