King Uther
King Uther Von Gweliven is the Saint-ranked ruler of the Dwarven Kingdom of Gweliven and the father of Princess Anastasia. A just but security-conscious king, he hides the truth about Dunspear’s destruction, rewards the rescuers of his daughter, and later seeks a permanent alliance with Lux after Twilight Rain nearly overthrows him.

Heaven’s Gate and the continental wars
After the Monster of Ruin destroys Dunspear, Uther orders agents to erase its tracks and presents the disaster as a meteor strike, choosing public calm and operational secrecy while he assesses Memento Mori and Twilight Rain. Anastasia’s rescue makes the danger personal. He rewards Cai, Keane, and Lux with gold, thanks Lux as a father rather than merely a king, and accepts the Half-Elf’s promise to defend Gweliven as a second home. His gratitude creates a durable political relationship, even though he initially treats Anastasia’s affection for her rescuer as temporary puppy love. (Chapters 411–415)

When Gweliven’s war with Twilight Rain reaches its climax, Uther gives Lux current intelligence about the enemy headquarters, hidden Saints, and mutated monsters, then sends him with Nevreal’s reinforcement force. Victory prevents Magnar from replacing Uther and preserves the royal family. The king bows to Lux for the first time since his coronation, grants him a dukedom and land, and supports Anastasia’s wish to become his fiancée.
