Gilmore

Gilmore Faisal is the Third Prince of the Axton Kingdom, one of the tournament’s Four Kings, and a gifted swordsman pursuing the path of a Sword Saint. His defeat by Keane tempers his pride and drives the training that later brings him into Lux’s Gate of Famine coalition.

Biography

The Lionheart Tournament and the Hidden Domain

Gilmore enters the Lionheart Tournament as a confident Grade A Disciple who expects royal training and technical superiority to carry him forward. He studies Keane’s matches rather than dismissing the mysterious swordsman, then warns Keane about his sword’s chaotic effect because he wants their contest decided openly. Their final clash leaves both unconscious and Gilmore defeated, but the audience recognizes his skill and honor. He responds by promising to catch the Hidden Domain contenders and win the next tournament, converting public defeat into a concrete reason to train rather than resentment toward his opponent. (Chapters 234, 239, 242–245, 268)

The Dragon kingdoms and the Abyss

By the Gate of Famine expedition, Gilmore’s training has improved him by leaps and bounds. He follows Lux because a swordsman’s intuition detects that something about the Half-Elf has changed, accepting a leader he once treated as another arrogant rival. During the invasion planning he calmly takes responsibility for a Deimos-Ranked monster alongside Enlil and their men. Their team succeeds sufficiently for Gilmore to receive a Deimos-Ranked Beast Core, confirming practical battlefield development while stopping short of any stated promotion to Ranker. (Chapters 683, 690–691, 700)

Appearance and personality

Gilmore is a handsome blond teenager with blue eyes and sharp features. His usual casual confidence becomes solemn when he faces an opponent he respects. Although arrogant about his potential, he understands that Sword Saint mastery remains distant and refuses to claim a title he has not earned. Warning Keane about a debilitating weapon effect shows chivalry, while his later trust in intuition and willingness to follow joint orders show that defeat has made his pride more disciplined rather than erased it. (Chapters 234, 242–244, 683, 691)

Sword abilities

Azure Sky Sword Style

Gilmore’s Azure Sky Sword Style emphasizes rapid, decisive attacks. Flash Step works like a short blink to close distance; Double Slash passively produces two near-simultaneous impacts from one stroke; Omnislash delivers six attacks too fast for an ordinary observer to track; and Spectral Slash is his finishing strike. The style pressures stamina and exploits close range, but Keane’s defense and stronger final technique still defeat him, leaving Gilmore unconscious and demonstrating that speed and layered damage do not guarantee victory against superior sword insight. (Chapters 242–244)

Chaotic attribute and later growth

Gilmore’s Pseudo-Legendary sword carries a chaotic attribute that disrupts mana circulation and blood flow with continued exposure. The effect is not immediately lethal, but it progressively weakens the victim and can incapacitate someone with a weak constitution for months, making prolonged exchanges favor Gilmore. He nevertheless needs time for the disruption to accumulate, warns a respected opponent before relying on it, and remains dependent on his own swordsmanship. Later training greatly improves him, but the corpus confirms neither Sword Saint status nor a formal rank advance. (Chapters 243–244, 683)
