Bomber

Bomber is a floating skeletal bomb commanded by Eiko. Built for guaranteed impact and self-destruction, it also serves as a flying platform for Eiko and her companions, giving the Terrorist Squad mobility before its explosive payload is needed.

Biography

The Dragon kingdoms and the Abyss

Bomber begins as Eiko’s airborne search platform, then carries her into battles against Abyssal Bats and Amir’s Black-Crowned Vulture. During Colette’s rescue it catches the falling Dwarf, returns her safely to the ground, and re-enters combat; once Eiko teleports clear, Bomber locks onto the Vulture and self-destructs at point-blank range. Its later reappearances show that the suicidal body can be restored, although the corpus never explains the reconstruction process. Eiko subsequently rides it above Lorelei’s undead army and uses it as part of her increasingly elaborate bombing tactics rather than treating its first explosion as a permanent death. (Chapters 663, 669, 716–717, 751–752, 763, 793)

The Divine Army reckoning

Bomber remains Eiko’s obedient transport and weapons platform as she travels with Fei Fei. The two Slimes ride it while driving off bandits, then use its flight to reach bone islands during the creation of Eiko’s Bone Cauldron. Bomber follows orders by adding Blast Bombs to the cauldron, while Fei Fei joins the bombardment from its back. Its latest documented activity is therefore constructive as well as destructive: the same summon designed to explode helps gather and process materials for a larger undead creation. (Chapters 967, 989)

Appearance and personality

Bomber is a nearly two-meter floating ball of bones with arms, hands, and multiple eyes resembling a beholder’s. It has no documented speech, independent interior thought, or motive separate from Eiko’s commands. Its characterization is consequently functional and loyal: it catches allies, changes altitude when ordered, flies directly into danger, and contributes bombs without hesitation. The recurrence of the same name after self-destruction supports a restored summon, not a series of unrelated creatures. (Chapters 663, 716–717, 763, 989)

Abilities and skills

Bomber flies, carries riders, and uses True Strike with Lock On to rush a designated target at high speed without missing. Its core attack is Self-Destruct, an explosion comparable to a full-powered strike from Lux and Eiko’s Grand Bazooka; Eiko avoids friendly damage by leaving its body with Blink before impact. Bomber later throws ordinary Blast Bombs under command, expanding its use beyond a single collision. Detonation destroys the deployed body, and later appearances prove that it can return, but the text states no reconstruction cost, cooldown, or limit. Its accuracy also does not make it invulnerable: safe employment depends on Eiko choosing the target, clearing allies, and surviving separately. (Chapters 663, 717, 763, 989)

Relationships

  • Eiko — Bomber’s creator or commander, principal rider, and tactical decision-maker. She uses it for transport, rescue, bombing runs, and material gathering. (Chapters 663–669, 716–717, 763, 967, 989)
  • Colette — Bomber catches her in midair after Bam frees her from Amir and carries her safely to the ground before returning to battle. (Chapter 716)
  • Fei Fei — Eiko’s companion who rides Bomber during their journey and helps it load Blast Bombs into the Bone Cauldron. (Chapters 967, 989)
  • Bam, Bom Bom, and BAM — Fellow members of Eiko’s Terrorist Squad whose close-combat, cannon, and explosive roles complement Bomber’s guided aerial detonation. (Chapters 663, 716–717)
