Awakening and Leaf Village

Alicia welcomes Vera and Lux to Barbatos Academy while quietly absorbing Vera’s teasing about her feelings for Alexander. Her work places her between strong-willed family members: she negotiates Iris’s travel, prepares Lux’s tournament registration, serves as his guarantor, and follows Alexander’s private order to choose referees who will prevent Lux’s death. Her motivation is loyal service, but her judgment also recognizes the concern Alexander hides behind harsh words. (Chapters 82, 84, 130, 178, 180)

This administrative position gives her meaningful influence over the tournament’s safety without making her its political author. She reports accurately, questions Alexander just enough to expose his concern, and then implements his decision rather than publicizing family tensions.
