Xuan Xi

Xuan Xi is the personal name of the Mystic Emperor, Emperor Yu's wife, fellow ruler, and closest combat partner. Her story is defined by their joint pursuit of Qin Yu and by the patient, ultimately self-destructive vengeance she carries out after her husband's death.

Biography

Emperor Yu's partner in the hunt

Known first by her title, the Mystic Emperor hunts Qin Yu beside Emperor Yu as an equal planner and combatant. The couple combine their divine swords into the Matchless Great Sword and nearly destroy Qin Yu's body, but his unusual cultivation lets him survive the wound. After Wu Lan kills Emperor Yu, Xuan Xi attacks Qin Yu in open grief, finds that neither her sword nor close-range strikes can finish him, and retreats when direct revenge proves impossible. Protection as a revenge trap

Years later, Xuan Xi presents herself as Qin Yu's secret benefactor: through the Nine Amplifications Sect she has protected Qin clan ascenders from the usual deaths, and she claims to have repented of the earlier pursuit. The protection is real, but the confession is a deception. She has arranged marriages that place informants inside the Qin clan and continues coordinating a revenge plan after leaving Qin Yu. Her patience converts apparent mercy into access to the family she intends to use against him. (Chapters 466–468)

During Qin De's Divine Tribulation, Xuan Xi finally attacks. Uncle Fu destroys her body before she can kill Qin De, so her Nascent Soul enters the tribulation area and self-detonates, deliberately changing the trial from a three-person to a four-person tribulation. She states that she never abandoned vengeance for Emperor Yu; her soul is completely destroyed, yet Qin Yu still carries his family through the strengthened ordeal. A later investigation exposes lethal contingency orders left with two embedded agents. (Chapters 489–491)

Appearance and personality

Xuan Xi is portrayed as an elegant, white-clad woman with fine brows and clear eyes; immediately after Emperor Yu's death she instead appears in red, consumed by grief. Composure, loyalty, and tactical patience define her more consistently than her false confession: she can sustain a benevolent disguise for years, but never relinquishes her vengeance. Abilities and cultivation

Matchless Great Sword

Xuan Xi's Flowing Great Sword can fuse with Emperor Yu's Great Emperor's Sword when the pair execute matching seals, forming the high-quality divine weapon Matchless Great Sword. Their combined strike is described as more than ten times stronger and faster than the Green Blooded Sword Immortal's attack and pierces Qin Yu's armor, body, and dantian. The technique requires both partners, and even its successful penetration cannot kill Qin Yu because his Stellar Transformations cultivation does not depend on an ordinary dantian. (Chapter 394)

Level-nine Immortal Emperor combat

As the Mystic Emperor, Xuan Xi reaches level-nine Immortal Emperor strength and uses Greater Teleportation, the Flowing Great Sword, and divine armor given by her husband. That armor withstands Qin Yu's close-range blow after Emperor Yu's death, but Xuan Xi's own finger strike and sword cuts fail to seriously injure the stronger Qin Yu. Much later, Uncle Fu intercepts her attack on Qin De and pulverizes her body before she can reach her target, leaving self-destruction as her final weapon. (Chapters 429, 466–467, 489)
