Black Dragon Mirror
The Black Dragon Mirror is a portable communication artifact issued by Anastasia to allied guild leaders. Its importance comes from allowing authority and information to pass across Babylon during a crisis even when the original holder cannot act directly.
History
Emergency contact in Babylon
During the crisis surrounding Gong-ja and the Tower Master's recreated world, Bambolina gives Gong-ja a hand mirror bordered by a black dragon. He explains that Anastasia distributed the mirrors to the guild leaders as emergency tools and asks Gong-ja to use one while acting as his proxy. The connection lets Anastasia's voice reach the recipient and supports the wider public communication used to address Babylon. (Chapters 226–227)
Abilities and properties
- Establishes remote voice communication with Anastasia and the allied guild network. (Chapter 226)
- Serves as proof of delegated emergency authority when passed from a guild leader to a proxy. (Chapter 226)
- The corpus does not establish that this portable communication model duplicates every combat function of Anastasia's floating mirror array. (Chapters 25 and 226)
