Lecia's Gloves

Lecia's Gloves is the Holy Item of Lecia, Alphen's god of fertility. The Gloves can make any seed sprout and promise a fruitful harvest, but their high priest gives them to Kang Woojin, who later transforms the fertility relic into the soul-extracting Thrash's Punishment.

History and role

Voluntary surrender at Litan's Lake

Lecia's young high priest meets Woojin outside Litan's Lake and offers the Gloves before Woojin can demand them. The relic is both Lecia's treasure and a token of the high priest's authority, so losing it could be considered worse than death and would normally diminish his office. Nevertheless, the priest gives it up calmly because Lecia's oracle instructed him to do so and promised that his wish would come true. Woojin accepts without hesitation because the Gloves are the special ingredient he needs for Thrash's Punishment. (Chapter 79)

Inversion into Thrash's Punishment

After obtaining additional ingredients through the Achievement Shop and Dimensional Store, Woojin completes a pair of black gloves named Thrash's Punishment. The narration explicitly states that Lecia's treasure has been imbued with the God of Destruction's power: an item that once sprouted any seed becomes a calamity capable of extracting souls from all beings. Lecia's Gloves therefore no longer persist as a separate Holy Item. (Chapter 90)

Abilities and properties

  • Fertility blessing: The original Gloves can grow a bud from any seed and guarantee a fruitful harvest. The corpus does not specify range, speed, soil requirements, or whether the wearer must actively invoke the effect. (Chapter 79)
  • Token of authority: As a Holy Item, the Gloves support the status of Lecia's high priest; surrendering them can diminish that authority even though this priest accepts the consequence. (Chapter 79)
  • Crafting transformation: Woojin uses the relic as the defining ingredient for Thrash's Punishment. Its later power to extract and destroy souls belongs to the transformed item, not to the original fertility blessing. (Chapters 79 and 90)
