Lee Soogyung

Lee Soogyung is the mother of Kang Woojin and Kang Sooah. After losing her husband and believing Woojin gone for five years, she supports Sooah through restaurant work and persistent financial hardship. Woojin's return restores the family materially, but Soogyung remains its emotional center, accepting her son's dangerous responsibilities while protecting her young daughter through illness, divine awakening, and an assassination attempt. Biography

A family restored after five years

When Woojin returns, Soogyung leaves her restaurant shift and takes him to the Dungeon Shock memorial, where mother and son mourn the husband and father lost during his absence. She has survived by working hard even when one missing kitchen worker creates a crisis, while treatment for Sooah has remained difficult to afford. Woojin's dungeon income allows the family to move and seek care without the same financial fear. Soogyung understands that Woojin's work is dangerous and repeatedly suppresses her desire to keep him home because she believes his larger duty matters. When Alandal becomes mobile, she accepts life aboard the fortress despite wanting more time with Woojin and organizes its civilian staff. During Gangchul's attack, she hides Sooah behind herself and wraps her body around the armed Awakened, only to be thrown aside and injured. Appearance and personality
