Deimos

Deimos, also called the Starlord and First Under Heaven, is the DreamNet pilot identity used by the Clairvoyant. He is not a second person alongside Skyfire Avenue’s founder. DreamNet preserves the younger mask of an elite pilot famous roughly fifty years earlier, allowing the dying seer to lead the Star Alliance exhibition team and test the Four Divine Monarchs before revealing himself. The corpus asks whether Deimos is the Clairvoyant’s real name but never answers; it should therefore be treated as a combat identity, not a confirmed civilian name.

Biography

Starlord returns to DreamNet

Deimos enters the Star Alliance exhibition as its greatest celebrity, introduced as the invincible Starlord and First Under Heaven. The title is historical rather than proof that no contemporary pilot can challenge him. His return brings famous specialists into one coordinated team and gives the exhibition the attention needed to inspire new pilots. (Chapters 273–275)

As commander, he orders the team to hold ground and defend the Wheel rather than chase individual fights. When Thunderclap is eliminated, Deimos refuses to send rescuers into the Four Monarchs’ diversion and concentrates the remaining pilots on the objective. The decision shows the tactical discipline behind his reputation: he accepts a teammate’s loss rather than let loyalty collapse the formation. (Chapters 275–277)

First Under Heaven meets the Four Monarchs

The exhibition places Deimos against the strongest younger God-ranked pilots, including the God of Wisdom. His leadership and personal skill make the Star Alliance a real test, but the event is not a neutral attempt to establish a permanent universal ranking. It is a prepared public spectacle whose deeper purpose is training and civil-defense mobilization. The opposing team’s ingenuity can therefore matter as much as isolated dueling output. After the match, Deimos removes his mask. The youthful figure is itself another mask: he ages before the Four Monarchs and reveals the Clairvoyant, founder of Skyfire Avenue. He confirms that he is Deimos “but not” in the simple sense because the form represents his former self. This resolves Starlord and Clairvoyant as one continuing consciousness while leaving his birth name unknown. (Chapter 289)

A pilot identity returned to its seer

The revelation turns the exhibition into part of the Clairvoyant’s extinction preparation. He explains that DreamNet’s upgrade and the famous pilot gathering are meant to strengthen the next generation before the alien death wave arrives. Deimos’s charisma supplies public legend; the Clairvoyant’s foresight supplies the concealed objective. Neither identity is false, but each reveals only the part required for its audience. Later references to “Deimos’s team” recall the exhibition and its bond among the strongest pilots. Deimos does not resume an independent biography after the reveal. The Clairvoyant dies in Chapter 530 after exhausting his life through prophecy and succession work, so Deimos shares that death. Appearance and personality

Deimos first wears the anonymity-preserving mask expected of a God pilot. His voice is charismatic and lightly amused, and he jokes that he was handsome when younger. Removing the mask initially reveals a young man, but this is the preserved image of his former self; it then collapses into the Clairvoyant’s frail, stooped age while only the star-like eyes remain unchanged. The persona is confident, controlled, tactical, and theatrical enough to command a vast audience. Deimos can leave a fallen teammate unsupported because the objective demands it, yet his exhibition exists to protect future generations rather than to collect personal glory. Deimos is a legendary God-ranked pilot once known as First Under Heaven. He reads the battlefield quickly, commands other celebrity pilots, and understands when an apparent rescue opportunity is a trap. DreamNet demonstrates skill and tactical cognition under simulated conditions; it does not restore the Clairvoyant’s youthful body in physical space or remove the frailty caused by prophecy. Starlord leadership

As Star Alliance leader he organizes objective defense, controls engagement timing, and keeps specialists focused after early losses. His authority rests on reputation and judgment rather than a disclosed military office. The Four Monarchs can still disrupt his plan through deception and complementary teamwork, so the title Starlord is not evidence of infallibility. (Chapters 275–289)

The Clairvoyant behind the mask

Deimos has access to the Clairvoyant’s Paragon cultivation and future sight because they are one person, but the exhibition primarily displays the pilot identity. His younger avatar is cosmetic, and the sim pod does not cure his failing health. Broader prophecy, the Eye of Tomorrow, and the Ocean of Stars belong to the same man’s Clairvoyant role rather than a separate power set acquired by Starlord. (Chapters 289–297 and 529–531)

Relationships

• Clairvoyant: Deimos’s underlying identity. The seer uses his former pilot image as a mask, then reveals that the Starlord and Skyfire Avenue’s founder are the same person.
