Xuanyuan Dao

Biography

The Road South and the Fairy Realm

Xuanyuan Dao is introduced as the elder brother of the Xuanyuan family head and the strongest swordsman of his generation. Long Tian Yun addresses him with exceptional respect. During Ling Chen’s assault on the Long residence, Xuanyuan Dao helps assess the intruder and recognizes speed and power capable of shaking the world, but the defenders cannot contain the attack. (Chapters 322, 324–325)

Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

At Su’Er’s engagement banquet, Xuanyuan Dao is part of the senior martial circle that recognizes Ling Chen and understands the earlier defeat of Murong Xiong Tian. His importance is comparative: Murong had previously lost only to Xuanyuan Dao, yet Ling Chen overcomes the metal esper with ease. The cited phase does not show Xuanyuan Dao personally testing Ling Chen there. (Chapters 499–500)

The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

Xuanyuan Dao’s reputation establishes the Xuanyuan family’s sword tradition, while later reports focus on the missing Sword Emperor. He watches the Ling Tian City broadcast searching for Dia Wu after she left the family and recognizes her rare sword manipulation. Concern does not give him custody over her choices, and he does not personally enter the city’s defensive battle. (Chapters 501, 504, 538, 556)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

Xuanyuan Dao escorts Long Zheng Yang to the captive Buggy and objects when the leader orders all guards away, correctly judging the prisoner dangerous. He ultimately obeys and withdraws. The scene shows a guardian willing to advise against risk but subordinate to Long Zheng Yang’s direct command. (Chapter 717)

Appearance and personality

Xuanyuan Dao is an older, authoritative swordsman whose standing commands respect from family leaders and Long Tian Yun. He is observant enough to recognize unprecedented physical ability and cautious when guarding Long Zheng Yang. Evidence about his private motives and later domestic life is sparse. (Chapters 322–325, 717)

Abilities and powers

He is described as the Xuanyuan family’s strongest swordsman, surpassing its current head and historically defeating Murong Xiong Tian. The corpus does not provide named sword techniques, a virtual profession, or a direct late-series duel that fixes his ceiling against Ling Chen. His strength remains exceptional by human martial standards, not divine. (Chapters 322–325, 499–501)
