Pocket Watch
The Pocket Watch is Jeong-woo's bequest to Yeon-woo, carrying his recorded diary, memories, and a vestige of his consciousness. Its physical shell is made from the Stone of Superbia, one of Luciel's Soulstones.
History
Jeong-woo's bequest
The watch is found with Jeong-woo's body and delivered to Yeon-woo after the funeral. Winding it plays Jeong-woo's message, transfers the diary's memories, helps awaken Yeon-woo as a player, and opens the gateway through which he enters the Tutorial. (Chapters 1–2)
Yeon-woo also uses its limited time effect in combat, but the watch stops when that reserve runs out and must wind itself again. He keeps the damaged, missing-hand watch close as both an artifact and the most direct surviving trace of his brother. (Chapters 55–56, 61)
The sealed Soulstone and spring of time
The Cyclopes identify the artifact as Heaven Wing's Pocket Watch, made from the Stone of Superbia and constructed with a deliberate keyhole. Yeon-woo uses himself and the diary as the key, enters the sealed consciousness within, and reaches Jeong-woo's vestige. (Chapters 355–361)
The watch later acts as the spring of time. Jeong-woo, who studied the spring while confined in the watch, operates it while the watch is linked to the Black King's chains, slowing the Tower's “small wheel” long enough for the Scythe project to proceed. (Chapters 651–652)
Abilities and properties
- Stores and transmits Jeong-woo's voice, diary, memories, and selected succession abilities. (Chapters 1–2)
- Opens a gate into the Tower's system and supports Yeon-woo's early time-related skill use. (Chapters 2, 55–56)
- Uses Superbia's rigid, suppressive nature to hide a consciousness and a sealed inner world. (Chapter 355)
- Its spring of time can slow or otherwise influence the Tower's smaller temporal wheel, although overuse can damage the spring and Jeong-woo's vestige. (Chapter 652)
