Vyram

Vyram is a highly regarded Marcusian swordsman whose expectation of first place in the Tutorial collapses when Yeon-woo defeats both him and Phante. His short rivalry establishes the gap between accomplished rookies and the masked player.

Biography

Fifth place becomes public defeat

Vyram enters the Tutorial accustomed to triumph and treats every obstacle as something to remove, so discovering himself in fifth place feels like an intolerable mark of failure. He joins the other leading players who challenge Yeon-woo, relies on buffs and his opponent's apparent mana expenditure, and briefly believes victory is within reach. Yeon-woo anticipates that confidence, catches his retreat, and overwhelms him with a sword attack. The defeat forces Vyram to kneel with the other players and leaves his reputation as one of several celebrated rookies surpassed by the round's true winner. (Chapters 54–57, 66, 99)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not give Vyram a detailed physical description. His expressions move from an angry frown at the rankings to visible glory when he believes Yeon-woo is exhausted. His defense remains vulnerable to layered feints: focusing on a thrown dagger and Yeon-woo's apparent mana limit leaves him exposed to the compressed wind and demonic energy gathered on Vigrid.
