Vimalacitra is the Asura King, a Jie Sect martial god who values battle above status and recognizes in Yeon-woo a successor capable of carrying Gubitara further.

Biography

The Asura King chooses a successor

Vimalacitra watches Yeon-woo's advance with unusual enthusiasm because the player repeatedly chooses combat over safety and growth over submission. Rather than demand worship or obedience, he offers the power of Gubitara after judging Yeon-woo's fighting spirit worthy. That sponsorship establishes their relationship as a martial challenge: Vimalacitra wants to see what Yeon-woo will make of the technique, and Yeon-woo's later development gives him a rare opponent and inheritor rather than a conventional Apostle. Waiting for a worthy final battle

Born in the lowest hell and raised through continual battle until he became the Asura King, Vimalacitra responds to the Tower's collapse by remaining on Earth and refining himself rather than withdrawing from the coming conflict. His long wait in the Andes reflects both freedom and fixation: combat is the measure by which he knows himself, and Yeon-woo is the one warrior for whom waiting and self-cultivation remain worthwhile. That private preparation also leaves him exposed to the scheme that eventually places him between Yeon-woo and Oceanus. (Chapters 721–722)

A warning delivered through defeat

Vimalacitra appears behind Laplace while protecting a young girl, then attacks Yeon-woo with the Shizu Sword and a fully condensed Black Gubitara. Although circumstances prevent a direct explanation, he turns the fight into a warning that another hand is arranging events. Yeon-woo answers with Black-Red Gubitara and kills him; Vimalacitra accepts the result, names the new technique, and declares that his own name will remain while Yeon-woo carries it. Cernunnos later honors their friendship and rivalry by defeating Oceanus in revenge, but Vimalacitra himself does not return. (Chapters 721–723 and 794)

Appearance and personality

Vimalacitra presents himself as a martial divine being whose bearing becomes most animated in the presence of a worthy fight. The corpus emphasizes his gleeful eyes, battle-readiness, and sword more than ordinary dress or domestic appearance. He is proud, direct, and intensely self-directed, yet not empty of concern: he protects another person under coercive circumstances and sacrifices the clarity of his own position to pass Yeon-woo a warning.

Abilities and powers

Vimalacitra's authority centers on martial divinity and Gubitara, a power whose demonstrated expression follows fighting spirit and can be condensed through his sword. The corpus establishes its destructive effects more clearly than every step of its activation.

Asura King and martial divinity

His rise from the lowest hell through uninterrupted battle grants Vimalacitra the legends and divine status of the Asura King. He combines overwhelming physical and divine force with centuries of refinement and combat judgment, allowing him to evaluate Yeon-woo's potential before many other gods do. His strength remains contestable rather than absolute: the later Yeon-woo surpasses the version of Gubitara Vimalacitra perfected and ends their final exchange. (Chapters 339–340, 488, and 721–722)

Gubitara and the Shizu Sword

Vimalacitra bestows Gubitara's power on Yeon-woo and later demonstrates Black Gubitara condensed along the Shizu Sword. The strike can threaten an opponent's existence deeply enough to erase even an ego preserved through a shadow, making it more than a conventional cut. Yeon-woo's Black-Red Gubitara is a further interpretation rather than Vimalacitra's own technique; it overcomes him, and its name becomes the vehicle by which his martial legacy persists after death. Relationships

• Yeon-woo: Vimalacitra first sponsors Yeon-woo as Gubitara's worthy inheritor, then accepts death in their final clash and entrusts his continuing name to Yeon-woo's evolved technique.
• Jeong-woo: Jeong-woo's return and the brothers' war reshape the cosmic field in which Vimalacitra chooses to wait for and test Yeon-woo.
• Agares: Both belong to the divine and demonic powers drawn toward Yeon-woo, though Vimalacitra's interest is martial succession rather than possession.
• Kronos: Vimalacitra's late actions occur within the conflict surrounding Kronos's family and the forces opposing them.
