Rebecca
Rebecca is Cernunnos's Apostle and a high-ranker hunter whose death in the Monkey King Palace leads to a second existence as one of Yeon-woo's spirit familiars.
Biography
A hunter enters the Monkey King Palace
Rebecca leads the Sadhu party through the palace because her hunting senses and pathfinding make her the best guide, yet the prospect of the Ruyi Bang and the Seventy-Two Bian presses her to advance even when Cernunnos's teaching tells her to retreat. As the dungeon suppresses her senses and drains the magic needed for God Wit, confidence gives way to a costly judgment. Exhausted and unable to use her full skills, she nevertheless pushes Victoria out of an incoming strike and takes the fatal wound herself, turning an expedition motivated partly by greed into an unplanned act of sacrifice. (Chapters 157–162)
A vestige chooses a spirit body
Yeon-woo and Boo later awaken Rebecca's remaining Baek, a bodily vestige rather than her complete Hon or original soul. Rebecca accepts fusion with a Blue Spirit and the souls gathered in the palace, gaining a new vessel bound to Yeon-woo while remaining Cernunnos's Apostle because her god does not withdraw his holy power. Early materialization is limited by Yeon-woo's undeveloped Spirit of the Abyss, but repeated summoning and absorbed energy let her progress from a low-grade spirit to a stable combat companion who can advise, hunt, and fight beside his other familiars. (Chapters 174–175, 184, and 190–192)
A familiar reaches divinity and returns to her god
Rebecca grows beyond an animated remnant as Cernunnos steadily supplies blessings that she can feed on, eventually attaining divine status. She uses her wind form, enchanted eyes, and paired swords in Yeon-woo's campaigns, cooperating with Shanon and Boo rather than returning to the solitary habits of her human career. After the decisive wars, she chooses to return to Cernunnos for intensive training, so her latest position joins both halves of her identity: a former familiar shaped by Yeon-woo's family and an Apostle again developing under her original god. (Chapters 299–304, 370–380, 648, 744–749, 811, and 852)
Appearance and personality
As a human, Rebecca has chin-length hair, a boyish profile, and a fierce gaze. Her Blue Spirit body is partly transparent and marked with blue patterns before it becomes capable of a more human presentation. She is wary, blunt, and capable of cruelty toward threats, with the acquisitiveness of a veteran ranker. Her rescue of Victoria, loyalty to her new companions, and later devotion to training show that caution and self-interest do not exhaust her character.
Abilities and powers
Rebecca combines Cernunnos's hunting authority with the altered physiology of a Blue Spirit. Her effectiveness depends on available magic, functioning senses, and—after death—the quality of her spirit vessel and Yeon-woo's ability to manifest it.
God Wit and hunter's senses
God Wit sharpens Rebecca's perception and judgment, allowing her to read terrain, choose routes, detect danger, and decide whether pursuit is worth the risk. She relies on it while guiding the Sadhu, but the Monkey King Palace demonstrates its limits: repeated use consumes substantial magic, and environments that suppress the senses and Consciousness it depends on can make its conclusions less reliable. (Chapters 157–162)
Horned Swords, wind, and spirit progression
Rebecca fights with paired Horned Swords made from Cernunnos's horn; their cuts can tear space, while her hunting magic produces powerful wind and later lets her disperse into wind herself. As a Blue Spirit she can absorb compatible soul energy, grow through spirit grades, and receive Cernunnos's blessings without ceasing to be Yeon-woo's familiar. Materialization is initially incomplete, but later growth supports human form, large-scale magic eyes, and eventual divine status. (Chapters 161, 174–175, 299, 370–373, 648, and 744)
