Chirpy is the Phoenix's third child, a young Mythical Beast named by Yeon-woo who rapidly grows from a vulnerable hatchling into a formidable companion.

Biography

A hatchling receives a name

Yeon-woo encounters the Phoenix's third child and, hearing its characteristic cry, names it Chirpy. The carefree baby quickly accepts his presence, but their connection becomes consequential when the Phoenix is attacked: Yeon-woo senses Chirpy's fear through the bond and changes his response to the crisis. What begins as an affectionate naming therefore becomes an information channel that ties the beast's safety to Yeon-woo's choices. (Chapters 84 and 109–116)

Growth turns the child into support

Chirpy grows dramatically over a short period, developing an aura strong enough to hunt most superior Mythical Beasts. It complains about the childish name yet continues to accompany Yeon-woo, perching on his shoulder and supporting his movements rather than abandoning the bond. Later appearances place Chirpy with Sesha and Nike, showing that it remains part of Yeon-woo's wider household of companions. (Chapters 117–141 and 219)

Appearance and personality

Chirpy is a young Phoenix whose size and aura increase sharply as it matures. It is initially carefree and baby-like, communicating through cries and simple emotional reactions. Growth brings more confidence and an evident dislike of its improvised name, but not disloyalty; Chirpy remains affectionate, expressive, and comfortable sitting on Yeon-woo's shoulder. Abilities and powers

As a Phoenix child, Chirpy can fly and produces a powerful Mythical Beast aura. By Chapter 117, its growth is sufficient for it to hunt most superior Mythical Beasts, although the story does not give it a named finishing technique. Its bond with Yeon-woo also carries emotion across distance, allowing him to sense acute fear; this is a connection, not unrestricted speech or complete shared perception. (Chapters 110 and 117–141)
