Storage Bead

The Storage Bead is a high-level bead that stores the force of an early C-Grade cultivator’s full-power attack. Jack uses its one release to break through a pursuing group of deacons.

History

A last-resort attack from Huali’s library

As Jack prepares to leave Master Huali’s estate, Okmer gives him a high-level storage bead on Huali’s behalf. Jack carries it as a final defense while being pursued by stronger cultivators. He waits until three deacons are close enough to be caught in the same attack, then activates the bead. Its force erupts in the direction he chooses, killing the pursuers while leaving Jack unharmed. The bead is spent, and Jack later confirms that it is gone (Chapters 260, 273–276).

Abilities and properties

• When broken or activated, it releases force equivalent to an early C-Grade cultivator’s full-power attack. The stored strike can be directed; Jack aims it at the clustered pursuers. (Chapters 260, 273–274)
• It works once. Jack has to survive long enough to choose when to use it, and the attack’s effectiveness depends on the enemies being within its direction of effect; he waits for the deacons to cluster before triggering it. (Chapters 273–274)
• The blast does not recoil onto Jack in the direction he selects. No reusable or rechargeable state is shown. (Chapter 274)
