Dao Sprouting Pill
The Dao Sprouting Pill, also described as a blood-red apple, is the top treasure of Trial Planet's Garden Ring and helps a cultivator approach a Dao breakthrough.
History
Garden Ring Prize
Minerva's group entered the Trial Garden under an agreement that they would claim its treasures while leaving the Dao Sprouting Pill to the Lords. Jack later saw the pill behind multiple formations and learned it could help someone reach D-Grade. (Chapters 197, 200)
During the fight over the treasure, Jack struck Longsword away and seized the pill. He kept it until he was close enough to a breakthrough to use it. Its insight helped him examine his Dao and form the Root of Weakness; the last of the pill disappeared as that weakness became a power he could wield. (Chapters 207, 214–216)
Abilities and properties
- The pill grants heightened awareness of the Dao, helping a cultivator inspect and understand a Dao concept. It does not itself supply Jack's underlying power. (Chapters 200, 216, 222)
- Its greatest benefit is for a cultivator already near a breakthrough; Old Man Spirit says it would not be enough to accelerate Jack while he remained far from that point. (Chapter 220)
- Jack's consumed pill enabled him to experience and then contain the Dao of Weakness as a Root. (Chapters 214–216)
