Elder Crownbeast
Elder Crownbeast is an A-Grade of the Fiend King faction who competes for the Overlord Core at the Empty Star Auction. After the auction, his pursuit of Jack leads to a fight in which Jack kills him and takes the core.
Biography
The auction and pursuit of Jack
Crownbeast attends the Empty Star Auction alongside Elder Puerto, keeping watch as Jack's bidding draws attention. He openly challenges Jack over the Overlord Core and makes clear that the dispute will not end with the auction. When Jack prepares to leave, Puerto warns him that Crownbeast can wait for him to leave Empty Star City and attack, then helps set the terms of a confrontation. (Chapters 506–511, 513)
Jack eventually fights Crownbeast in open space. He uses his speed and close-range power to break through the elder's defenses, kills him, and retrieves the core from his body. Jack's victory gives him the Overlord Core that he later absorbs. Crownbeast is a separate individual from Crownbeast Saturnstar, Jack's tournament opponent. (Chapters 514–515)
Appearance and personality
Crownbeast is presented among the enormous, Godzilla-like elders at the auction and has a yellow glare that stays fixed on Jack. He is confident enough to pursue Jack after the bidding and to confront him directly. The novel does not establish further identifying details in these scenes. (Chapters 506–511)
Abilities and cultivation
Crownbeast is an A-Grade cultivator. Jack's fight with him demonstrates that Crownbeast can withstand a powerful close-range assault, but Jack's speed and strength ultimately overcome him. His specific techniques and formal progression are not established. (Chapters 506, 514–515)
