The Soul Lasher is a black whip specialized in attacking and restraining origin souls.
History
Capture on planet Suzaku
Red Butterfly identifies the Soul Lasher during battle, after which Wang Lin seizes and stores it. He soon uses it to break a light-formed attack and punish a heavenly ghost. (Chapters 363, 458, 483, and 532)
A weapon against origin souls
Wang Lin repeatedly lashes cultivators and broken origin souls, sometimes wrapping the whip around a target and dragging that target into his custody. (Chapters 705, 1351, and 1359)
Long-term possession
Red Butterfly later reminds Wang Lin that he stole the whip during their battle. The treasure remains important because of its rare specialization in origin-soul combat. (Chapters 1676 and 1806)
Abilities and properties
- Directly injures, slows, or restrains origin souls and spirit-like beings. (Chapters 532, 1359, and 1806)
- Can shatter certain energy manifestations with a single strike. (Chapter 483)
- Extends or coils around a target to pull it toward the wielder. (Chapter 1359)
