Zhao Xingsha

Zhao Xingsha is the eldest first-generation disciple of the Heavenly Fate Sect's Purple Division and Wang Lin's nominal senior brother. His courteous welcome conceals jealousy over the division's true-disciple seat, leading him to organize repeated attempts to suppress Wang and to force an immature ancient demon spirit into battle. Biography

A welcome shaped by rivalry

Zhao Xingsha has already spent roughly two thousand years in the Heavenly Fate Sect when Wang joins the Purple Division. He receives the newcomer as the eldest first-generation disciple and acts as a guide, yet Wang recognizes that Zhao tried to interrupt his Human trial. The true source of hostility is succession inside the division: Zhao wants the true-disciple position and views a new direct disciple favored by the All-Seer as an immediate threat. His injured condition and uncertain standing make indirect suppression more attractive than an honest contest. (Chapters 480–485 and 492)

Coordinated suppression and the ancient demon

Zhao recruits other Purple Division disciples and outside assistance to isolate Wang. Fourth Sister's spatial spell transports Wang to confinement while four killing intents prevent resistance, a plan intended to remove him for three years rather than kill him outright. Wang breaks free and returns during the All-Seer's celebration, forcing Zhao into open battle. His ace manifests a thousand-foot ancient demon illusion marked by blue lines and powered by an energy comparable to celestial spiritual energy. A red vortex pulls in primary souls, and the demon nearly devours Wang's spirit beast, but the spell begins to exceed Zhao's control. Uncle-Master Chi Lie suppresses it, explains that the demon spirit has only begun to grow, and removes Zhao from the true-disciple competition while he suffers the backlash. (Chapters 488–492)

Advancement without reconciliation

Years of closed-door cultivation take Zhao beyond the Ascendant stage to one step from Illusory Yin. He becomes one of the All-Seer's seven true disciples thirty years before Wang's return, but advancement does not resolve his resentment; he still assumes Wang must be weaker and anticipates their meeting with killing intent. Bai Wei later reveals an older abuse of that power: Zhao attacked him just as his sister's soul was awakening, causing the two souls to integrate more deeply and leaving Bai Wei trapped in a condition he describes as neither male nor female. The disclosure confirms that Zhao's willingness to cripple a fellow disciple predates his rivalry with Wang. (Chapters 957 and 967)

Appearance and personality

After his later breakthrough, Zhao appears as a gloomy middle-aged man in a purple robe, with a gaze compared to lightning. His manner is habitually double-layered: he can arrive with a friendly smile, host guests politely, and address elders with respect while arranging confinement or preparing lethal force. Ambition makes him patient enough to use favors, indebted disciples, and outside experts, but wounded pride can push him into deploying a demon spirit that harms him and may escape his control. Abilities and cultivation

• Later cultivation: Zhao spends years in seclusion and rises beyond Ascendant until only one step separates him from Illusory Yin. The advancement earns him a place among the All-Seer's seven true disciples, although the corpus does not show the later rematch he expects with Wang. (Chapter 957)
• Light wheel: During the early Purple Division clash, Zhao produces and throws a wheel of light as a direct magical attack. Wang's released spirit beast frightens him into retreat before the exchange can establish its full limits. (Chapter 484)
• Coordinated suppression: Zhao combines allies' killing intent with Fourth Sister's spatial sealing spell, making movement dangerous while she transfers Wang into confinement. The technique is organizational rather than a single spell of Zhao's own, but it demonstrates his ability to construct an encounter around several complementary powers. (Chapter 488)
• Ancient demon spirit: A symbol on Zhao's forehead calls forth a horned demon illusion more than one thousand feet tall. Its demonic power forms a red vortex that drags primary souls from their path, and the awakened projection can seize a powerful spirit beast and attempt to devour it. Each increase in solidity weakens Zhao; because the spirit inside him is still immature, forced use produces severe backlash and allows the demon to begin acting beyond his conscious direction. • Wang Lin: Zhao welcomes Wang as Seventh Brother while trying to remove him from the true-disciple contest. Wang escapes the coordinated confinement and forces Zhao to expose the unstable demon spirit; years later, Zhao's feud and sense of superiority remain intact. (Chapters 480–492 and 957)
