Zhao Long is a Mountain Seeking Sect elder who supports Lu Yingjie's pressure on the Origin Sect during the Everlasting Sect competition. After injuring Lu Yanfei and challenging the absent “Lu Zihao,” he loses his body to Li Qianmei and later burns his origin soul in a final attack on Wang Lin. (Chapters 1240–1241 and 1250–1254)

Biography

Pressure on the Origin Sect

Zhao Long enters the competition dispute as Lu Yingjie's senior backer. His arrival alone unsettles nearby cultivators because of his rank-seven sect and connection to the Silent Soul Sect. He demands consequences if the mysterious cultivator praised by Lu Yuncong fails to appear, then injures Lu Yanfei merely for speaking by directing a gaze that shakes her origin soul. His intervention turns an argument between juniors into institutional pressure against the Origin Sect. (Chapter 1240)

Li Qianmei arrives while Zhao Long and Lu Yingjie are leaving. She identifies their mistreatment of the Origin Sect and attacks; Zhao Long's body is destroyed, leaving only his origin soul, while Lu Yingjie is spared so the promised challenger can answer him. The Mountain Seeking Sect treats the injury as a grievance and waits for “Lu Zihao” to arrive. (Chapters 1241 and 1250–1252)

Abandonment and death

When Wang Lin appears and is identified as the feared cultivator who crossed the rank-seven region, Zhao Long's confidence collapses. Lu Yuncong names him as one of the men who harassed and injured Lu Yanfei. The Mountain Seeking Sect's master and head elder, knowing Wang Lin's strength, step aside rather than defend Zhao Long; the surrounding disciples follow, leaving his origin soul isolated. With escape closed off, Zhao Long burns his origin soul. The sacrifice temporarily raises his power from early to mid Nirvana Shatterer and turns him into a self-destructive meteor. Wang Lin meets the attack without a spell, destroys the burning soul with a kick, and tells the intervening Feng Hai that his request for mercy came too late. (Chapter 1254)

Appearance and personality

Zhao Long is a middle-aged man with a hooked nose, thin lips, gloomy eyes, and a harsh, somewhat feminine voice; the combination gives him a vicious appearance. He is contemptuous toward weaker sects and respectful toward Li Qianmei's superior status. Once deprived of protection, arrogance gives way to terror and then desperate resolve: he chooses self-destruction rather than wait passively for death. (Chapters 1240–1241 and 1253–1254)

Abilities and cultivation

  • Early Nirvana Shatterer cultivation: Zhao Long is an early Nirvana Shatterer before his final sacrifice. His presence can make nearby origin souls fluctuate, and his focused gaze alone injures Lu Yanfei's origin soul and forces her backward. (Chapter 1240)
  • Origin-soul survival: Li Qianmei destroys Zhao Long's physical body without immediately killing him. He remains conscious and mobile as an origin soul, though this state leaves him more vulnerable and dependent upon his sect's protection. (Chapters 1250 and 1252–1254)
  • Burning the origin soul: Zhao Long ignites his remaining origin soul to exchange his existence for a temporary surge from early to mid Nirvana Shatterer.
