Wu Qing

Wu Qing is an early-stage Nirvana Shatterer elder of the rank-six Devil Collection Sect. His attempt to manipulate a private auction escalates into an ambush for Wang Lin's wealth; Wang kills him publicly enough that the Devil Collection Sect disowns him and compensates Wang rather than seek revenge. (Chapters 1171–1175)

Biography

Recruitment and the private auction

Wu Qing meets Wang Lin under the name Lu Zihao beside fellow Devil Collection Sect elder Tang Lihai. While Tang circles around the purpose of the meeting, Wu impatiently offers Wang a position as an external elder, promising gifts and alchemical materials in exchange for defending the sect's dignity. After Wang leaves, Wu drops his straightforward façade and helps assess the danger surrounding him, but ignores a superior's warning not to provoke the newcomer. (Chapter 1171)

At Master Ashen Pine's private auction, Wu initially thinks more highly of Wang because a supposed Nirvana Cleanser cultivator has earned entry among Nirvana Shatterer experts. When Wang bids for a Vermillion Bird feather, however, Wu repeatedly raises the price merely to test his wealth. He pays fifty-five thousand celestial jades after Wang withdraws, even though Wu has no real need for the feather. The act exposes his greed and conceit to the other attendees and gives him a reason to pursue Wang outside the city. (Chapters 1172–1173)

Ambush and death

Wu follows Wang to an isolated plain with open killing intent. He pretends the attack avenges an injured Devil Collection Sect junior, but his conduct at the auction and immediate attempt to take Wang's possessions make greed the practical motive. He opens at full strength with a manifested mountain, then uses Power to Uproot the Heavens when Wang shatters it physically. Wang overwhelms the vortex, destroys the treasures Wu tries to deploy, and kills him with the War Spirit Print before his storage space can close. (Chapter 1174)

The palm annihilates Wu's body and escaping origin soul. His fear at recognizing the God Sect's signature spell replaces the confidence with which he began the ambush. A mid-stage elder arriving from the Devil Collection Sect declares that Wu had already been expelled and offers pills and treasure as compensation, explicitly deciding that Wu deserved his death. Wang takes Wu's storage contents and the Vermillion Bird feather, while Wu's soul is later used as a battle soul in the Celestial Sealing Stamp. (Chapters 1174–1175 and 1193)

Appearance and personality

Wu Qing is an old man with a shining red face and a resonant, bell-like voice. He presents himself as blunt and straightforward, but the pose conceals a scheming, greedy disposition. He enjoys testing and humiliating someone he believes weaker, disregards direct warnings, and mistakes rank for safety; once Wang's power becomes undeniable, aggression turns immediately to terror and regret. (Chapters 1171–1174)

Abilities and cultivation

• Early-stage Nirvana Shatterer: Wu Qing can mobilize origin energy on the scale expected of a senior Cloud Sea cultivator and is regarded as vastly stronger than an apparent Nirvana Cleanser opponent. His realm does not protect him from Wang Lin's ancient-god body or higher-order spell comprehension, and the battle ends before he can establish an extended exchange. (Chapters 1171–1174)
• Mountain manifestation: At full power, Wu Qing forms a giant mountain and drives it into his target. Wang Lin breaks the construct with one physical punch, so its performance against an ordinary Nirvana Shatterer defense is not demonstrated. (Chapter 1174)
• Power to Uproot the Heavens: Black and white winds collide into a grey vortex that draws in origin energy from five thousand kilometers and descends over the target. Wang disrupts the surrounding origin energy and forces still more power into the collision, causing the vortex to collapse; the counter shows that control of the environment can overwhelm the technique's gathering mechanism. (Chapter 1174)
• Defensive treasures: Wu Qing opens his storage space and releases multiple treasures when Wang's first palm breaks through. Every treasure explodes under the strike, and none is described individually, so their distinct properties and normal durability remain unknown. (Chapter 1174)

Relationships

• Wang Lin: Wu Qing first offers Wang a sect position, then raises an auction price to provoke him and follows him out to steal his wealth. Wang deliberately kills him in view of Peng Lai's experts, using the victory to deter further attacks. (Chapters 1171–1175)

Items

• Vermillion Bird feather: Wu Qing buys the feather for fifty-five thousand celestial jades only to outbid Wang. Wang takes it after killing him and absorbs its fire into his Vermillion Bird inheritance. (Chapters 1173–1175)
