Qiu Siping

Qiu Siping is a Sea of Devils cultivator, restriction student, and treasure seeker whose temporary alliances with Wang Lin repeatedly mix useful expertise with concealed motives. His pursuit of advancement carries him from the Gui Xi cave to the Immortal Graveyard. (Chapters 205–357)

Biography

The Gui Xi cave

Qiu Siping encounters Wang Lin while seeking the Nascent Soul hidden inside the Gui Xi cultivator's cave. He has prepared for the expedition and understands both the Sea of Devils and the restriction methods protecting old ruins, but he needs another capable cultivator to pass dangers he cannot handle alone. The two make a limited agreement based on mutual usefulness rather than trust. Qiu waits half a month for Wang Lin to return because Wang has kept his word, then carries them onward in a cloud-shaped boat he built himself. (Chapters 205–207)

The cave rewards his calculation. Qiu obtains and swallows the preserved Nascent Soul, using it to cross into the early Nascent Soul stage. The gain is not presented as a clean inheritance: it comes from opportunistically claiming another cultivator's remnant, and it reinforces the pattern that advancement matters more to him than loyalty to strangers. His bargain with Wang Lin survives because both sides remain alert to what the other wants. (Chapters 208–209)

Hunting in the Sea of Devils

When Qiu Siping meets Wang Lin again, he has concealed his new realm and presents himself as a mid-stage Core Formation cultivator. He tracks an Eight-Clawed Beast with fish-scented mud and plans to use two Magic Enchanted Palace juniors as bait before taking their cores. Wang Lin exposes both his cultivation and his intent. Qiu answers pursuit with a small drum that releases nearly invisible black threads, but Wang Lin blocks the attack. (Chapters 227–228)

Forced to negotiate, Qiu provides a memory map of the inner Sea of Devils and its transfer arrays. Wang Lin assumes it may contain lies and evaluates it against other knowledge instead of trusting him outright. This exchange captures their recurring relationship: Qiu's information is valuable because he has lived in the Sea for more than two centuries, yet every gift must be checked for the advantage he has hidden inside it. Auction and the Immortal Graveyard

Years later Qiu Siping has reached peak late Nascent Soul but still cannot cross the barrier to Soul Formation. At an auction he wants a rank-six pill recipe but recognizes Wang Lin's superior cultivation and avoids turning desire into open conflict. He even offers spirit stones to support Wang's bid, a cautious gesture shaped by memory of their earlier encounters. (Chapters 335–336)

His stalled realm makes the Reincarnation Tree expedition attractive. He joins Old Man Hu's group and enters the Immortal Graveyard seeking the kind of rare opportunity that ordinary cultivation has denied him. The decision is consistent with his entire path: Qiu is technically resourceful and patient, but repeatedly accepts lethal ruins and morally compromised plans when they promise a shortcut through a bottleneck. Appearance and personality

Qiu Siping is over two hundred years old during his early Sea of Devils appearances. The corpus emphasizes watchfulness and calculation more than a fixed physical portrait. He can honor a useful agreement and appreciate another person's reliability, but he withholds information, conceals his realm, and plans around expendable outsiders. Caution, craftsmanship, and opportunism are all parts of the same survival method. (Chapters 205–231)

Abilities and cultivation

Nascent Soul cultivation and concealment

Qiu advances to early Nascent Soul by swallowing the Nascent Soul recovered from the Gui Xi cave and later reaches peak late Nascent Soul. He can suppress his displayed aura to resemble a mid-stage Core Formation cultivator, making underestimation part of his hunting strategy. The long failure to reach Soul Formation remains his defining limit and drives his search for pills and the Reincarnation Tree. (Chapters 208–209, 227, and 335–357)

Restrictions and artifact craft

He studies restrictions and incorporates spirit-beast patterns into a self-made cloud boat. The ten-foot craft carries passengers through the Sea of Devils, raises a barrier against the region's black rain, and operates without continuously consuming the rider's spiritual energy. These properties show practical formation craft rather than overwhelming battle power: preparation lets him cross hazards his realm alone would not safely endure. (Chapter 207)

Tracking and local knowledge

Born in the Sea of Devils, Qiu uses two centuries of local experience as a capability. Fish-scented mud lets him follow the habits of an Eight-Clawed Beast, while his memory map records inner-sea routes and transfer arrays. Neither tool guarantees honesty or victory. The baiting plan is exposed, and Wang Lin treats the map as evidence to compare rather than an authoritative guide. (Chapters 227–231)

Black-thread drum

A small drum releases two extremely thin black threads that are difficult to see and can chase separate targets. The attack is suited to ambush and pursuit, matching Qiu's preference for prepared advantage. Wang Lin intercepts it, establishing that concealment gives the threads surprise but not enough force to bypass a substantially stronger cultivator. (Chapter 227)

Relationships

• Wang Lin: They are recurring transactional allies. Qiu values Wang's reliability and fears his power; Wang uses Qiu's expertise while checking every claim for deception. (Chapters 205–231 and 335–336)
