Qian Qin is a cultivator from a small sect whose discovery of the Brilliant Golden Fruit draws the predatory attention of the Da Luo Sword Sect. Forced to guide its expedition, she survives the loss of a fellow disciple and later crosses paths with Wang Lin again during the Alliance conflict. (Chapters 507–513 and 958–1070)

Biography

The fruit her sect could not protect

Qian Qin's sect pays heavily to locate a valley containing roughly one hundred Brilliant Golden Fruits, losing several elders in the process. Guo Xingyi betrays the sect's trust by passing the discovery to the much stronger Da Luo Sword Sect. Qian Qin despises him for it, but she cannot refuse the resulting expedition without exposing everyone in her sect to retaliation. She therefore leads the Da Luo group toward the valley while enduring the humiliation of watching a discovery bought with her sect's lives be taken from them. (Chapters 507–509)

The valley and Wang Lin's intervention

The expedition confirms how little protection Da Luo's presence offers her. When Nine Multitude Bugs block the route, a Da Luo elder sacrifices Qian Qin's white-robed senior brother to test the danger. His death leaves her outwardly calm but inwardly consumed by grief and hatred, while members of the expedition discuss eliminating her so that no inconvenient witness survives. Wang Lin's intervention overturns that balance of power. He defeats the immediate threat, prevents the group from disposing of her, and tells her not to worry while he uses the Brilliant Golden Fruit to form a Golden Spirit Root. Qian Qin leaves the valley alive because he treats her as a person rather than expendable baggage. (Chapters 510–513)

A later meeting and an unresolved fusion

Centuries later, Qian Qin travels as one of four disciples of a beautiful middle-aged woman. She still remembers that Wang Lin saved her life, even though she assumes a cultivator of his stature has long forgotten her name. She subsequently appears with the Brilliant Void party and the women associated with its Saintess succession. During Ancient Devil Ta Jia's attack, a pink-dressed senior sister shields her, but both bodies collapse. A protective treasure preserves their origin souls, which begin to fuse; the corpus does not establish which identity, if either, emerges intact. (Chapters 958, 997, 1012, and 1070)

Appearance and personality

At the Brilliant Golden Fruit expedition, Qian Qin is a beautiful woman in a white cotton dress tied with a blue ribbon. A rose-shaped hairpin holds her black hair, and her skin is described as jade-like. In her later appearance she wears green. She begins the expedition openly angry at Guo Xingyi, but the killing of her senior brother hardens that anger into a frightening stillness. Her restraint is practical rather than submissive: she understands that one reckless response could condemn her entire sect. Her enduring memory of Wang Lin's aid also shows that she does not forget either cruelty or kindness. (Chapters 507–510 and 958)

Abilities and cultivation

  • Cultivation: Qian Qin is a trained cultivator, but the Brilliant Golden Fruit sequence does not give her an exact realm or a signature offensive spell. The sharp power imbalance with the Da Luo elders limits what she can accomplish through force. (Chapters 507–512)
  • Route and expedition knowledge: She knows the route to the hidden valley and understands the hazards surrounding its fruit. This knowledge makes her indispensable to the expedition even while it also makes her a witness the stronger cultivators consider silencing. (Chapters 507–510)
  • Origin-soul preservation: After her body collapses during Ta Jia's attack, a treasure protects Qian Qin's origin soul and allows it to survive long enough to begin fusing with her senior sister's soul. This is an emergency preservation effect, not evidence that Qian Qin can freely perform soul fusion herself. (Chapter 1070)

Relationships

  • Wang Lin: Wang Lin's arrival prevents the Da Luo party from treating Qian Qin as another disposable victim. She remembers the life debt centuries later, although she believes he has forgotten her. (Chapters 510–513 and 958)
  • Guo Xingyi: His betrayal gives the Da Luo Sword Sect access to the fruit discovered by Qian Qin's sect. Her hatred for him is rooted in the elders her sect lost and the coercion that follows. (Chapters 507–509)
  • Her white-robed senior brother: He accompanies Qian Qin into the valley and is deliberately sacrificed to the Nine Multitude Bugs. His death marks the expedition's emotional breaking point for her. (Chapter 510)
  • Her pink-dressed senior sister: The senior sister tries to protect Qian Qin from Ta Jia. Their preserved origin souls begin merging after both bodies fall, leaving their individual futures uncertain. (Chapter 1070)
