Liu Zhiyuan is a Devil Dao Sect elder, a descendant of its sect master, and a newly advanced early-stage Void Tribulant cultivator. His double-cultivation method consumes women as furnaces and stores their souls as both fuel and weapons. Biography

Invasion of the third meridian

Liu Zhiyuan joins the Green Devil Continent's invasion with fellow Devil Dao Sect elders. He has only recently entered the Void Tribulant stage and begins running short of celestial energy after hours inside the Heavenly Bull formation. The defenders can replenish themselves from its fog, while the same fog drains him and blocks his divine sense. He withdraws behind companions to consume stored furnace souls and recover. (Chapter 1857)

Wang Lin has been hiding nearby specifically to kill an early Void Tribulant enemy. He attacks at the recovery window with the blood sword and Yi Si puppet. Liu abandons the first soul-orb meal, deploys multiple black lotuses, and uses Blood Armor Formation to break a converging attack. The defense succeeds, but it costs more blood and energy when he is already depleted. (Chapters 1857–1858)

Resentful-soul counterattack

Liu brings out a black bell that releases hundreds of thousands of female resentful souls. Their merged resentment forms a gigantic woman meant to devour Wang. Wang answers with Soul Fantasy Origin, summoning the Great Soul Sect's ninth ancestor. The ancestor's red lance breaks the composite figure and sends the released souls back through Liu's body as backlash. (Chapter 1858)

Seriously wounded, Liu tries to flee. Wang's Ancient Dao sequence lands before he can reach safety, collapsing his body and shattering his distorted origin soul. Wang preserves only the head as proof of the kill. Liu's death shocks both armies because Void Tribulant cultivators rarely die and later becomes part of Wang's claim to the Heavenly Bull soul armor. Appearance and personality

The corpus does not provide a stable physical description. Liu is explicitly cruel: his cultivation has killed countless female furnaces, whose naked, suffering souls remain trapped in his recovery orbs and bell. Under ambush he is experienced enough to sacrifice resources immediately, but exhaustion and the formation's environmental disadvantage leave him unable to regain initiative. (Chapters 1857–1858)

Abilities and cultivation

  • Early-stage Void Tribulant: Liu has only recently reached the stage. He can survive a coordinated ambush that would kill most lower cultivators, but prolonged formation drain leaves his celestial energy nearly exhausted and makes him vulnerable to a prepared opponent. (Chapters 1857–1858)
  • Yin-yang double cultivation: His method converts the souls of dead female cultivation furnaces into black lotuses. The technique's advancement and attacks are therefore built on accumulated victims rather than ordinary elemental cultivation. (Chapter 1857)
  • Black lotus: Liu can form one or seven black lotuses to block spells and physical threats. Seven intercept the Yi Si puppet but collapse under its charge, allowing the puppet's tongue to wound his chest. (Chapters 1857–1858)
  • Furnace-soul recovery: Small light spheres contain captured female souls that he can devour to restore celestial energy. Wang twice interrupts the consumption before it completes, so the battle does not establish how much one orb would recover. (Chapters 1857–1858)
  • Blood Armor Formation: Liu coats himself in blood that dries into armor and then explodes as a surrounding storm. It breaks two palm prints and helps resist the blood sword and Yi Si, but the defense is life-saving expenditure rather than lasting armor. (Chapter 1858)
  • Resentful-soul bell: Ringing the black bell releases hundreds of thousands of female souls whose combined resentment becomes a giant woman. Soul Fantasy Origin breaks the construct, and the scattered souls turn on Liu's body, making the treasure dangerous when its composite manifestation loses. (Chapter 1858)
