Liu Fei is the head of the Cloud Sky Sect's outer branch when Wang Lin returns to protect Li Muwan. Initially subdued and bound by soul blood, Liu Fei spends the following century helping Li Muwan lead the sect and ultimately chooses to defend it beside her rather than flee. Biography

Fall of the old Cloud Sky leadership

Liu Fei presides over the outer sect during a major Cloud Sky ceremony and conceals his reputed late Nascent Soul cultivation with a pill. When an unknown cultivator begins forming a Nascent Soul beneath the sect, Liu Fei declares that the intruder's new soul will belong to him and enters the fissure. Wang Lin overwhelms him immediately and rises from underground holding him by the hair, using the captured sect head as both a warning and a potential shield against the other Nascent Soul cultivators. (Chapters 224–225)

The Cloud Sky ancestors fail to stop Wang Lin. Liu Fei, Song Qing, and the remaining elders surrender their soul essence blood after Wang Lin demands obedience from every Core Formation cultivator. This transfer ends Liu Fei's independence and secures Li Muwan's safety and authority when Wang Lin departs. (Chapter 226)

A century under Li Muwan

One hundred years later, Liu Fei has reached late Nascent Soul and serves beneath Li Muwan as sect master. The memory of Wang Lin's earlier slaughter remains an inner fear, but his attitude toward Li Muwan has changed: she never abuses the soul blood and treats Liu Fei and Song Qing as seniors, dissolving their former resentment into loyalty. As repeated failed breakthroughs shorten her life, Liu Fei worries over her health and continues searching for news and remedies. (Chapter 328)

When the invading poison cultivator Zhan Bai threatens to destroy the sect, Liu Fei refuses evacuation and stays with Li Muwan. Insects drill into his body during the defense, but Wang Lin's returning wandering souls force them out. Liu Fei obeys Wang Lin's order to seal the sect and resumes its management with Song Qing after the crisis. He later searches for rare ingredients needed for Li Muwan's life-extending pill. Appearance and personality

Liu Fei is a white-haired old man who initially carries the dignity and confidence of a sect head. That confidence collapses before Wang Lin's overwhelming Ji Realm, leaving a fear that persists for a century. He nevertheless develops genuine loyalty to Li Muwan, expresses concern for her failing health, and remains at the Cloud Sky Sect when escape is offered. His later service is therefore more than the result of the soul-blood restraint. (Chapters 224–226 and 328–332)

Abilities and cultivation

  • Concealed cultivation: A pill hides Liu Fei's cultivation so effectively that observers believe only someone a full step above him can see through it. He is rumored to be late Nascent Soul at first appearance and is explicitly among the late Nascent Soul elders a century later. (Chapters 224 and 330)
  • Nascent Soul movement: Liu Fei can disappear from the main hall and rapidly enter the fissure where Wang Lin is breaking through. The confrontation ends immediately, so no named offensive method is demonstrated. (Chapter 225)
  • Sect leadership and alchemical resources: As outer-sect head and later manager, Liu Fei directs disciples, handles visiting sects, seals the Cloud Sky Sect on command, and mobilizes searches or purchases for rare pill ingredients.   • Soul essence blood restriction: Liu Fei voluntarily hands over his soul blood under Wang Lin's threat. The blood gives its holder power over his life, but it is a condition imposed on him, not a technique he wields. Li Muwan's refusal to abuse it becomes central to his later loyalty.   • Limits: Wang Lin captures Liu Fei before he can mount a meaningful defense, and the poison insects of Zhan Bai's attack penetrate his body once his spiritual defenses fail.   • Li Muwan: Liu Fei begins as one of the leaders displaced by her rise, but her restraint and respect win genuine allegiance. He worries about her health and chooses to defend the sect beside her. (Chapters 226 and 328–332)
  • Song Qing: Song Qing is Liu Fei's fellow former branch head and long-term partner in managing the Cloud Sky Sect. They share both their fear of Wang Lin and their concern for Li Muwan. (Chapters 224–226 and 328–337)
