Dou Mu

Dou Mu is one of ten ancient cultivators who entered Tu Si's body with Tuo Sen, became bound to fragments of the ancient god's soul, and spent an immense period preparing to rebel. His impatience toward Wang Lin contrasts with the group's need for Wang's soul-devouring ability, and he dies when their long-planned formation fails. (Chapters 189–197)

Biography

Blood Sea General

Dou Mu first appears as a middle-aged authority before whom the Sea of Devils' demonic cultivators submit. He is later revealed as one of eleven cultivators who originally followed the mysterious Tuo Sen into the Land of the Ancient God. After helping break a seal, the group discovered that Tuo Sen was tied to Tu Si's resentful consciousness and that fragments of Tu Si's soul had fused with their own, placing their eventual survival at risk. (Chapters 189 and 192)

Ten of the cultivators retain enough independence to become the Blood Sea Generals and plan against Tuo Sen. Dou Mu helps explain their history to Wang, including their conclusion that Tuo Sen is not an ordinary human inheritor. He repeatedly threatens Wang when negotiations drag on, even though the group requires a soul devourer to remove the seal, and his older companions restrain him from ruining the agreement. Failed rebellion

Once Tuo Sen opens the route toward the inheritance, Dou Mu and the other generals surround him with a linked formation. Tuo Sen has anticipated their betrayal. He turns into blood mist, breaks the formation, and sends a shockwave through the participants. The mist enters Dou Mu and five others, destroys their internal organs, and exits through their heads; their emptied bodies fall into the Dead Soul Sea. (Chapters 195–197)

Appearance and personality

Dou Mu appears as a dignified middle-aged man whose calm surface often gives way to cold impatience and killing intent. He is proud enough to dismiss another cultivator's treasure by crushing it and quick to threaten Wang, but less politically disciplined than the leader of the ten generals. Abilities and cultivation

Cultivation and black-hand attack

Dou Mu's exact realm is not named, though Wang regards the ten generals as cultivators of almost unimaginable strength relative to his Core Formation self. With a wave, Dou Mu forms a giant black hand and drives it toward Wang; the group's leader stops the attack before impact, so its full destructive effect is not demonstrated. (Chapters 192–193)

Ten-person sealing formation

Dou Mu is one node in the generals' linked formation. By connecting their hands and light into an irregular enclosure, the ten can surround and compress around Tuo Sen. They had used a related formation when first entering the ancient god's body, at significant cost to their cultivation. The later attempt fails because Tuo Sen's blood-mist transformation breaks the linkage and kills six participants. The ability therefore depends on coordinated participation and is not a solo sealing art belonging to Dou Mu alone. (Chapters 192 and 195–197)

Relationships

• Wang Lin: Dou Mu's group needs Wang to consume ancient-god soul fragments but distrusts him. Dou Mu threatens him repeatedly and underestimates how much leverage that need gives Wang. (Chapters 192–197)
• Tuo Sen: Dou Mu first cooperates with Tuo Sen, later lives under the threat of his implanted soul fragment, and joins the generals' rebellion. Tuo Sen kills him when the formation collapses. (Chapters 192–197)
• Hunchback Meng: Hunchback Meng is one of the demonic cultivators present in the Blood Sea, but he is not identified as one of Dou Mu's ten generals and no close relationship is established. (Chapters 189 and 193)
