Bai Wei

Bai Wei is a handsome, purple-robed Heavenly Fate Sect disciple who welcomes Wang Lin into the Purple Division and treats him as a junior apprentice brother. (Chapters 475 and 1147)

Biography

Purple Division senior

Bai Wei first meets Wang Lin on a trade planet and later welcomes him into the Heavenly Fate Sect's Purple Division. He brings the new disciple robes and token, explains the division's rivalries, and warns him that Zhao Xingsha knows secrets surrounding the All-Seer and his vanished older disciples. The help is not wholly selfless: Bai Wei hates Zhao for an old injury and wants Wang Lin to obstruct his rise as true disciple. Even so, his warning gives Wang Lin an early reason to distrust their master, and Bai Wei later withdraws from the succession contest rather than oppose him. (Chapters 475–499 and 617)

Transformation under the All-Seer's experiment

Bai Wei was born during an extreme celestial conjunction with a twin sister whose body dissipated while her soul entered his. As his cultivation rises, her soul begins awakening. Zhao Xingsha attacks at that vulnerable moment, forcing the two souls to fuse more deeply and leaving Bai Wei between male and female states. The All-Seer supplies Celestial Double Desire Art and promises that its ninth level will separate them. Instead, the method changes Bai Wei's meridians, cultivates itself beyond his control, accumulates extreme Yin, and prepares the extreme Yang product the All-Seer wants. (Chapters 967–968)

Coded appeal to Wang Lin

Centuries later Bai Wei appears more feminine and frail, calls himself Wang Lin's junior sister, and invites him to Ghost Eye City. Unable to explain openly, he hides the warning in trivial stories: a white tree bearing black flowers signals the reversal of his state, three breaths signals little time, and changing weather points to the All-Seer. Wang Lin deciphers the message and finds Bai Wei in a concealed valley. Bai Wei admits his original escape plan has already failed and asks Wang Lin to hear the experiment's history before their master emerges from seclusion. (Chapters 957–967)

Defiance through death

Bai Wei concludes that rescue is impossible. His final idea is to condense the extreme Yang and give it to Wang Lin, depriving the All-Seer of the product and forcing the supposedly infallible diviner to be wrong once. Wang Lin accepts despite recognizing that Bai Wei also wants to drag him into the challenge. Bai Wei releases all accumulated Yin, becomes encased in dark-blue ice, and compresses the vortex into a golden point that floats to Wang Lin. He dies proclaiming that his life is payment for one mistaken prediction. The All-Seer has anticipated even this choice, but Bai Wei's sacrifice still gives Wang Lin the material and insight needed to understand the trap. (Chapters 967–972 and 1146–1147)

Appearance and personality

Bai Wei is extraordinarily handsome, wearing a flower-embroidered purple robe and carrying a white fan; in sunlight his beauty resembles a woman's. As the Yin method progresses, his fragrance, phoenix eyes, voice, and manner become increasingly feminine before briefly reverting to a stern masculine presentation in the hidden valley. He is graceful and socially perceptive, but also secretive, vengeful toward Zhao Xingsha, and ultimately willing to weaponize his own death against the master who controlled him. Abilities and cultivation

Celestial Double Desire Art

The All-Seer's Celestial Double Desire Art acts primarily on soul and meridians. It exploits Bai Wei's fused twin souls, grows without conscious control, and routes Yin energy through altered red-and-green branch-like lines until a temporary mark forms. The method accelerates cultivation to mid-stage Soul Transformation, but the progression serves extraction rather than Bai Wei's autonomy. Speaking about it activates the mark and increases the Yin flow, limiting his ability to disclose the trap directly. The promised ninth-level separation is false: its actual endpoint is an extreme-Yang product generated from the peak of accumulated extreme Yin. (Chapters 961–968 and 1147)

Extreme Yin release and Yang condensation

At death Bai Wei releases a Yin vortex powerful enough to freeze the valley, vegetation, and most of his body in dark-blue ice; even Wang Lin's ancient-god body must retreat from the cold. The forehead mark absorbs every remaining strand of Yin, repeatedly condenses it, and produces a golden point of extreme Yang. This is a one-time terminal process. It consumes Bai Wei's life force, assimilates the body into an eternal ice sculpture, and cannot be reversed after the vortex begins. The product can be transferred to another person, which is why Bai Wei can deny it to the All-Seer by choosing Wang Lin as recipient. (Chapters 968–971)

Soul Transformation cultivation and coded resistance

Bai Wei reaches mid-stage Soul Transformation, travels by flying sword, and possesses enough perception to assess division politics and Wang Lin's hidden strength. The corpus does not demonstrate a separate high-output combat spell; his cultivation is compromised by the self-running Yin art and remains far below Wang Lin on their reunion. His most effective technique of resistance is interpretive rather than martial. By embedding facts in apparently meaningless conversation, he bypasses restrictions against direct disclosure and leads Wang Lin to the hidden valley. The code succeeds in communicating the danger, even though it cannot outpace the All-Seer's larger forecast. (Chapters 485–493 and 957–968)
