Biography

Choosing husbandry over a lost knightly future

Defeat removes the estate-based future Prius expected as a knight, and Roland assigns him work raising chickens and ducks. What begins as an undignified alternative becomes a field Prius chooses to master: he develops breeding practice, manages expanding livestock, and eventually writes manuals for others. The resulting “Chicken-and-duck Knight” reputation is comic, but it marks genuine security and expertise built from accepting useful civilian work. (Chapters 132, 402, 842, and 1072)

Appearance and personality

Prius is a trained former knight who later becomes visibly plumper, with a fuller face and ruddy cheeks reflecting his prosperous agricultural life. He is pragmatic, teachable, and able to absorb jokes about his new specialty without abandoning it. (Chapters 132 and 402)

Magic and abilities

Prius has no magic. He demonstrates animal husbandry, selective breeding, farm management, record-keeping, and technical writing. His results depend on feed, facilities, workers, and time across generations rather than an instant transformation of livestock. (Chapters 402, 842, and 1072)
