Biography

Choosing opposition when friendship no longer protects Dawn

Oro shares youth and family ties with Otto, Andrea, and Appen, making opposition to the crown personally costly rather than abstract. Evidence of Church infiltration and Appen's escalating repression pushes him beyond private concern. Oro joins the public and noble action against the king, enters the decisive confrontation with the allied families, and rejects Appen's execution policy; his choice helps make former friends participants on opposite sides of Dawn's transition. Appearance and personality
