Isabella is a former Pure Witch whose power suppresses other magic and whose surrender redirects that expertise from the Church to Neverwinter's research. (Chapters 310 and 640)

Biography

Serving Zero and the Church

Isabella accepts the Pure Witches' privileged rank and treats captured witches as material for the Church's war program. Her loyalty centers on Zero and the belief that ruthless sacrifice preserves humanity. Yet repeated defeats and Phyllis's testimony confront her with living evidence that the Church concealed Taquila's history; after Zero falls, Isabella chooses cooperation rather than a futile last attack. Testing the power she once enforced

Neverwinter does not erase Isabella's past, but it gives her a constrained way to act on what she learned. She warns the northern campaign about Berserk Pills and works with Agatha on experiments involving magic residue and God's Stones. This shift turns her negation from an instrument of Church control into a research tool, though trust remains conditional and her service does not undo her participation in the Pure Witches' abuses. Appearance and personality

Isabella has golden curls and presents herself with the poise and teasing confidence of a high-ranking Pure Witch. She is intelligent, curious, and initially callous toward ordinary witches; defeat exposes a more pragmatic side capable of revising allegiance when the Church's claims collapse. Magic and abilities

Isabella can disturb and flatten the flow of magic, suppressing or cancelling another witch's active ability within her effective reach.
