Turning weight into logistical leverage

Hummingbird demonstrated her ability cautiously after arriving in Border Town, then chose to apply it to collective work. By reducing the weight of cargo and construction materials, she let small teams move loads that ordinary labor could not handle and became a dependable logistical specialist. (Chapter 98)

Expanded logistical technique

Hummingbird continued training until her magic could support battlefield and industrial loads well beyond the first demonstration. By maintaining her effect across connected bombs, she reduced four carried weapons to a fraction of their normal weight; much later, she lightened the Seagull team's large-caliber gun, grenades, and armor so the aircraft could carry its assault force. Her sustained application made limited transport capacity tactically useful rather than granting a new unlimited power. (Chapters 599, 1151)

Appearance and personality

Hummingbird is small even after reaching adulthood, with symmetrical dimples, delicate features, and a soft voice. Her cautious first demonstration and later logistical service present her as reserved but dependable. (Chapter 98)
