Biography

Survival through mutual care

Hero loses both lower legs before the Wolfheart fugitives reach Dawn, forcing Annie to carry her while patrols hunt the group. She nevertheless comforts Amy during their escape and refuses Amy's offer to sacrifice her own legs, choosing her friend's safety over an uncertain cure. (Chapters 671–672 and 692)

Neverwinter's witches later combine surgery, healing, and shared magic to regenerate Hero's feet. Her first movement and tears mark a consequence achieved collectively rather than through Hero's own power; the corpus gives little detail about her life after recovery. (Chapter 839)
