Faldi

Faldi is a magic-detection witch, investigator, and scout.

Biography

The investigator and her Magic Bug Nest

Faldi enters Roland's Dream World with the first Taquila pioneers. The unfamiliar city hides sources of the Force of Nature, so she applies Quest Society habits and releases linked insects to search places the group cannot safely inspect in person. (Chapters 796–798 and 830)

Her bugs guide covert visits, guard companions from a distance, and later trace magic reactions toward an inner-river pier. The latest supplied chapter still shows her actively investigating, making the Dream World—not the ancient battlefield—the place where her original witch ability gains new strategic use. (Chapters 854, 859, 1184, and 1238)

Appearance and personality

Faldi's Dream World appearance is that of a young woman, but the corpus emphasizes her investigative concentration and occasional disgust at strange samples more than fixed physical details. Her training makes her methodical rather than fearless. (Chapters 796, 830, and 1140)

Magic and abilities

Faldi creates a Magic Bug Nest and links her consciousness to insects that autonomously seek sources of magic. They report type, scale, direction, and disappearance of reactions but do not give her vision, so maps, inference, and nearby investigators remain necessary. (Chapters 796, 859, and 1238)

Relationships

Dawnen conceals the teams Faldi guides, while Phyllis provides combat experience. Roland Wimbledon relies on Faldi's detections to investigate forces his ordinary senses cannot find. (Chapters 796, 854, 859, and 1238)
