Cara
Cara is the founder and leader; snake-summoning witch. (Chapter 57)
Biography
Coercion, schism, and the fatal mountain route
Cara led the Witch Cooperation Association toward the Impassable Mountain Range because she believed the Holy Mountain lay there. When Nightingale challenged that course with news of a safer haven, Cara answered dissent with force; Nightingale and Wendy escaped while Cara survived the clash and kept the remaining group on the mountain route. (Chapters 57–59)
That decision later exposed the reduced association to a demon attack. Cara used her summoned snakes in the defense but was caught and killed during the fight, making her death a consequence of the dangerous route she had enforced rather than of the earlier split itself. (Chapters 75–77)
Consequences for the surviving witches
Cara could make no later choice after the fatal split, but the surviving witches continued to measure their new life against her decision. Scroll and Wendy concluded that her stubborn commitment to the mountain route belonged to an era of fear they hoped future witches would escape; Cara's coercive leadership therefore survived chiefly as a warning inside the community she had fractured. (Chapter 465)
Appearance and personality
No consistent physical description is established in the supplied chapters. Her violent answer to internal dissent presents her as decisive but increasingly ruled by fear and certainty. (Chapter 57)
Magic and abilities
Cara could summon magical snakes with different effects. The power required her summoned creatures to reach a target and did not protect her from resistance within the group. (Chapter 57)
Relationships
Cara's leadership fractures when Nightingale challenges the mountain journey. Leaf, Wendy, and the other witches become participants in the resulting split, not merely followers in an abstract disagreement. (Chapters 57–59, 465)
