History

The Demon God's escape plan

The Demon God reveals the worn painting to Lucifer while explaining the purpose of the demons' soul harvest. Its image depicts an unknown galaxy, and its damaged state prevents the escape and growth he wants; repairing it requires souls. The relic therefore turns the war's mass casualties into a resource for a planned passage beyond Mythraldor. (Chapter 339)

Cane's betrayal

During the final trial, Cane attacks Aurora and deploys the painting in a form so small that it resembles a grain of sand. It radiates multicolored light across the damaged world and begins draining Aurora's divine life essence before Aengus can intervene. This demonstrates enormous reach and soul-affecting force, but the supplied scene does not settle who holds the painting after the confrontation. (Chapter 348)
