God Stone
The God Stone is a coveted catalyst that Aengus believes can unlock godhood after he reaches the required level.
History
Lyra's surrender
After Aengus rescues Lyra and Amarian, the stone's presence provokes an intense, visibly destabilizing desire in him. He offers protection, wealth, power, and a world without oppression in exchange. Frightened but persuaded that he can alter their circumstances, Lyra gives it to him and later decides that placing it in the hands of the emperor who saved her was a worthwhile sacrifice. (Chapters 292–293)
The level-one-thousand condition
Aengus does not immediately unlock the stone. Instead, he treats level 1,000 as the condition for accessing its full power and directs his clones to consume captured resources while he consolidates the continent. The stone therefore functions as both a future godhood catalyst and an immediate motive for accelerated expansion; the supplied corpus does not separately describe its material composition or activation ritual. (Chapter 295)
Abilities and properties
- Offers a path to godhood, but the exact mechanism remains unexplained in the supplied chapters. (Chapters 291–292)
- Its full power is unavailable to Aengus until he reaches level 1,000. (Chapter 295)
- Its presence produces a strong acquisitive reaction in Aengus, although the text does not establish whether this is a supernatural compulsion or his own response to its value. (Chapter 292)
