Vespera is Bella Bellfrost's fiercely protective vampire servant and a later hero of the United Liberation Empire.

Biography

Plan of Dominance to Floating Mountain

Vespera initially regards Aengus as a calculating servant exploiting Bella's favor and even calls for his execution. Bella's rebuke keeps that jealousy subordinate to command. During investigations, Vespera uses vampire authority to disperse predatory bats, confronts corrupted officials, and follows Bella into conquest. Aengus's warnings and growing strength gradually replace contempt with wary respect; after he grants her a System, she and the vampires become part of a deliberately empowered first hierarchy rather than merely Bella's household attendants. Attack On Crimson City

Vespera rides with Aengus, Bella, Belial, and the Liberation leadership during the assault on Crimson City. Her presence among the ruling combat group shows that her allegiance has expanded from personal service to participation in the couple's joint imperial project, although the chapter does not isolate a personal duel or named contribution for her. The Return of the Emperor

After a decade, histories call Vespera the Vampire Queen, a ruler of the night whose charm and ferocity dominated battlefields. She sits among the empire's legendary defenders awaiting Aengus's return, sharing the senior officials' sense of loss. The title confirms durable political and martial importance, but the route from noble servant to queen is not detailed. (Chapter 412)

Appearance and personality

Vespera has elongated blood-stained fangs, red-and-black vampiric wings with sword-like edges, and red eyes that can carry a threatening glow. She is vigilant, proud, violent toward disrespect, and deeply possessive of Bella's safety. She can obey even when angry and revise her estimate of someone as evidence changes, traits that make her ferocity governable rather than indiscriminate. (Chapters 76–124)

Skills, laws, and abilities

Her noble-vampire authority compels lesser vampiric bats to retreat through an ancient command, indicating hierarchy-based control rather than ordinary intimidation. She can fly, wield a sword, move with high-ranking demons, and later receives a System through Aengus's synthesis.
