Rindel

Rindel is the middle-aged elf who serves as Valeris's adviser and loyal confidant. He helps assess threats to the Demi-Human Empire, saves his emperor from Lucifer, and submits the surviving forces to Aengus Degaro after Valeris's death. (Chapters 254–338)

Biography

Rebel Emperor to Defeat

Rindel accompanied Valeris while observing Aengus's war against Kairos, first considering whether Aria's unusually pure lineage could benefit the Mother Tree and reporting that Kairos had rejected an alliance. He initially underestimated Aengus when the rebel emperor appeared to be losing, but Valeris directed him to read the concealed confidence beneath that appearance. Once Aengus transformed and the danger became unmistakable, Rindel asked whether they should intervene, accepted that even Valeris might be outmatched, and urged planning through the Council instead. The same evidence ended their contemplated attempt to abduct Aria because provoking her protector threatened their entire empire. (Chapters 254–258)

Finally Making a Move to Demon God’s Revelation

When Lucifer broke Valeris's Tree barrier, Rindel and other Transcendentals rushed in to prevent a direct hit. Rindel angrily tried to rally the human rulers against the demon, but the Void's scale soon forced a more sober judgment: he advised Valeris to leave rather than die pointlessly. After Aengus invaded and killed the emperor anyway, Rindel closed Valeris's eyes, knelt to the victor, and accepted an order to prepare the remaining warriors' submission under threat of death. His loyalty therefore changes form only after his sovereign is beyond rescue, prioritizing the army's survival over a futile continuation of Valeris's final stand. (Chapters 331–338)

Appearance and personality

Rindel is described as a middle-aged elf and seasoned confidant. He is deferential toward Valeris, curious about unusual bloodlines, and willing to reconsider a first impression when evidence changes. His indignation can briefly push him toward escalation, but caution dominates when the cost becomes existential. The source overwhelmingly uses masculine references for Rindel, although one sentence calls the voice “her”; no separate second identity is established by that isolated inconsistency. Skills, laws, and abilities

Rindel operates among Transcendental defenders and reacts quickly enough to help pull Valeris away from Lucifer's barrier-breaking strike. That establishes high-level movement and protective combat competence, but the action is collective: the text does not isolate Rindel's exact contribution, name a technique, or specify a rank, law, weapon, range, or cost. His later instant appearance beside Valeris's body is likewise not mechanically explained. (Chapters 331, 338)

His more consistently demonstrated specialty is strategic assessment. Rindel evaluates lineage purity, conducts alliance diplomacy, anticipates Aengus's expansion, and recommends retreat or surrender when survival requires it. These are trained political and military judgments rather than supernatural foresight; he initially misreads Aengus's apparent defeat and depends on Valeris to correct him, demonstrating that his analysis is fallible.
