Martin
General Martin is an earth-aligned Araknis commander who joins Aengus's liberation cause while explicitly preserving loyalty to his homeland. His investigative skill exposes sealed memories in traitorous officers, and his Earth Law supports both fortification and open war. Martin eventually becomes one of the United Liberation Empire's three senior generals, reaches the peak of Star Dominator rank, and is entrusted with merging newly united imperial institutions. (Chapters 214–259, 315–349, and 414–442)
Biography
Plan Changed to True Emperor
Martin initially studies Aengus with suspicion, but verifies his value during the anti-Kairos campaign. When accused commanders blame dark magic for their confessions, Martin summons earth hands, searches through their memories, and penetrates a hidden mental barrier to confirm treason. He keeps the strategy meeting focused, fights the enemy Transcendentals, and accepts King Milphomor's permission to join the new emperor while declaring that Araknis remains his homeland. That conditional allegiance becomes costly but sincere when he loses an arm defending the army and treats the sacrifice as worthwhile before Aengus restores it. (Chapters 214–259)
United Liberation Empire to Journey Accross Void And Space
As the Liberation Empire expands, Martin works alongside Leon and Felix to integrate former enemies and demon commanders. He accepts coexistence during Grand Unification, receives a transformed body or power alongside the other generals, and is ordered to maintain order when Mythraldor is severed from ruined space. The chapters do not isolate his transformation's mechanics, but they show a practical development from kingdom general to cross-faction guardian responsible for civilians during a cosmic displacement. (Chapters 315–349)
A Promise to The First Hell
Martin later introduces himself as one of the United Liberation Empire's three generals and helps sustain the empire during Aengus's absence. By the return, he, Leon, Felix, and several peers have reached peak Star Dominator rank through war with the Blue Moon Empire. Martin openly challenges a surrendering ruler's claims of loyalty and receives a final institutional assignment: he and the other generals must oversee the merger of the Prime and Celestial empires, keeping the process efficient and suppressing internal conflict rather than merely winning another battlefield. (Chapters 414–442)
Appearance and personality
Martin is a dark-complexioned man with a commanding presence. He is suspicious, methodical, easily exasperated by disorder, and direct enough to interrupt stronger figures when strategic work is being derailed. His loyalty is principled rather than blind: he asks his king before joining Aengus and states that service to the new emperor will not erase his homeland. Later confidence allows him to mock a stronger surrendered emperor because he trusts the order and protection behind his office. (Chapters 215–225, 234, and 435)
Skills, laws, and abilities
Martin wields Earth Law for control and construction. He materializes four solid-earth hands to seize suspects, creates houses and stronger replacements in the field, and participates in high-altitude Transcendental combat to reduce collateral damage below. His structures can be built quickly and sturdily, but Aengus accidentally destroys one through power far beyond its intended load. The corpus does not provide exact dimensions, mana costs, or a named defensive technique. (Chapters 223, 230, and 249–250)
His special memory-search skill can inspect a target's memories and uncover a concealed compartment protected by an invisible mental seal. The process takes time and is used on already restrained commanders, so it is not shown as instant battlefield domination or as effective against every mental defense. Martin's later peak Star Dominator standing confirms great growth, but no status panel identifies new laws or explains the imperial enhancement that precedes it. (Chapters 223, 341, and 434)
Martin is also a durable front-line commander. He survives the Liberation Empire's worst early battle after losing his left hand and continues directing forces once Aengus regenerates it. The restoration comes from Aengus rather than Martin's own healing, and the injury demonstrates that his defenses can be breached by overwhelming enemy numbers. His most developed late ability is large-scale command: managing mergers, discipline, and mixed populations across multiple empires. (Chapters 257–259 and 349–442)
Relationships
- Aengus Degaro: Martin moves from suspicion to conditional service after seeing Aengus expose traitors and reshape the war. Aengus restores his severed arm, empowers the generals, and ultimately trusts him with imperial consolidation. (Chapters 214–259 and 315–442)
- Leon and Felix: Martin serves with Leon and Felix as the Araknis Kingdom's three generals and later as guardians of the Liberation Empire. They investigate, fight, grow, and administer as a coordinated command group. (Chapters 214–259 and 315–442)
- King Milphomor: Martin remains loyal to Milphomor and asks for his sanction before joining Aengus. The king's approval lets him support Liberation without treating Araknis as disposable. (Chapter 234)
Items
- No named personal weapon or artifact is assigned to Martin. His earth constructs and memory search are personal abilities, while the corpus does not identify the equipment he uses in aerial battles. (Chapters 223–259)
