Kirin helps confront the ruling faction's attempt to delay Aengus's ascension, then quietly brings him offers from nearly one hundred kings and persuades him that even cautious allies may contribute valuable Law Stones. He accompanies Hog while Aengus tours Kievan, suppressing his destructive Earth Law inside a domain when assassins attack so that protecting the heir does not destroy the continent. Kirin later mediates doubts among Vansing, Bella, and Aengus, fights Morgana's regenerating dark creatures, and recognizes the scale of powers beyond his understanding.
